It was easy to turn on and sync to the app. There are 3 heat settings. The heat coils are located at the ball of the insole, and the battery is in the heel. When I wore the insole inside my shoe, it did get pretty warm, so it does work. However, you can feel the heat more at the bottom of the insole than at the top. This does concern me because it may make plastic melt if used for a long time. Another thing to note is that it doesn't fit shoes that have a low collar. These insoles are quite a bit taller than normal shoe insoles, and the hard battery in the heel makes your heel stick out of the shoe. I recommend using these insoles for shoes that have a high collar, so your feet are still secure in place. Also, be sure to adjust the laces if necessary. Overall, these heated insoles do function well and help keep your feet warm if you have cold feet. You will need to adjust your shoes in order to make them fit, and understand that you will be standing on 2 battery packs in the heel of your shoes. I wouldn't recommend them be used during exercise, but moderate walking and jogging are okay. ... show more

These work really well and they are comfortable. It is nice being able to use an app to control the heat for each of them. I love the fact that the charger is 2 cords in 1 so you can charge both insoles at once.

Ok so I bought these for a specific purpose, deer hunting. This review will be based on the intended purpose. I have not had these for years so this review will not take into account the longevity of the product because I don’t know what that is. Size - First they are a tad small: I put them in mud boots. A similar brand would be MUCK from REDHEAD. So they are insulated rubber boots. Mine are size 11.5 and the L insoles are just a tad small. Not enough to affect the rating much. Heat - I bought these for sitting in the deer stand not moving in cold temps. My toes would get cold in about an hour and numb in about 2 hours if the temp was 25-30 F. This test it didn’t get that cold: it was 60 the first night and 40 in the morning. They are warm, in cold weather they will work well for why I bought them: the variation between the “warm” and “hot” is not dramatic, but enough. I don’t know that in 20F it would keep my feet hot but it will definitely keep them from getting numb. Connectivity - I got the app version: the left insole does have connection problems, but I just go in the app and mess it it and it works again. I have not decided if this is a deal breaker in my case or not, cuz I can just go to the app and m as with it while I’m sitting in the stand. It should work better though. Overall I’d give it like 3.5 stars. If you have $65 laying around and you’re a hunter it’s prolly worth it. ... show more

These will be the perfect gift for a family member with low circulation and always has cold toes. The soles can be custom fit by matching up with your existing insole. I always trim a little big and slowly work my way down. These have guide marks on the back to ensure you don’t cut into the heating element. The insoles are a little firm in the heal, but the goal is heat not walking on air. Nicely packaged and look good. I was curious about the little tab in the back. This covers the power button and also sticks up to help pull them out of your boot/shoe. Keep in mind you will need to periodically remove these from your shoes/boots to charge and power on/off. They do have a work mode and sleep mode. Work mode is they are on and you can adjust the heat setting via app. Sleep mode is in standby and can be turned on/off with the app. The interface was simple and I didn’t have any issues connected to the app on my phone. The manual does show a timer function which the vendor indicates has not been released yet. Heat element is mainly under your toes/pad of your foot and not really in the arch or heel. Temperature testing shows 148 on the top of the insole in places and slightly higher on the bottom side of the insole. The max temp is suppose to be 158 degrees so this could be a difference from methods in measuring. I used an infared pyrometer. Once powering on you can feel the heat starting within minutes. I would guess maybe 3-5 minutes to reach the 148. Looking forward to getting some run time in the cold January weather. Overall looking like a good quality product. ... show more
