It took about five hours to charge. I expected it to be less time. I tested it by leaving it on the whole day and it lasted for about 12 hours on the lowest setting. I like that I can see the percentage of the battery level on the lcd screen with the double press of a button and can always see the current temperature. Warms up pretty quick and cools down quickly, too, upon shut off, which is great, so I can put it in the included pouch right away. Size is just perfect- not too big, not too small. I’m giving the other unit as a present.

It heats up fairly fast but it runs out of battery pretty fast. As long as you’re able to charge it at the end of the day you should be good. I am in the army so I like to use it while out on the field training during winter.

I’ve had these hand warmers for over a year now. I love the large battery capacity; I’ve never run out of warmth if I started with a full charge. I bought two (one for each coat pocket) and love that they’ll keep my hands warm for hours. I do wish I had stored them in the included bags, rather than being lazy and just stuffing them in my purse with no covers, because they got stained over time and I haven’t found a way to remove the stains. (I didn’t count that against the product in the review because the box included bags. I didn’t know I should use them to prevent staining, but I still could have been more careful)

I got two of these due to the big discounted sale price. The interface is simple and intuitive. The only thing I am a bit disappointed with is the battery life. The description claims that it can last anywhere from 6-12 hours, so I assumed that it's 12 hours at the minimum setting and 6 hours at the maximum setting. I fully charged the unit and set it to 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) which is the minimum setting. It lasted around 6 hours and 45 minutes, so it's not too bad, but nowhere near the specified 12 hour maximum. The charge meter seems to be a bit off though. When you first start the unit, it appears to decrease by 1% every 2-3 minutes (at the minimum setting). At that rate, it should have only lasted up to 300 minutes which is 5 hours, but around the 25% mark, the charge meter appeared to not drain as fast which ended up giving me 6.75 hours of heat total.
