Living in Southern California really cold hands are generally not an issue. However, my steering wheel is cold when I get into my car. The rest of me is not cold. The hand warmers work perfectly for this use. The warmest setting is too warm for me, but if I lived up north they would be a godsend. We are being told this is going to be an unusually cold California winter. So I am ready. I put them in my jacket pocket and they kept the pocket warm which made is cozy when I put my hands in. They keep my hands so warm. I hate wearing gloves but my hands like ice cubes. These are perfect I turn them on and throw them in my jacket pockets and hold them inside. So warm. First pair that were sent had one with a battery swell that split the case open at the seam and had the warmer malfunctioning. I emailed the address on the package and within 24 hours I had a response that they would send out a new pair or refund my order. I opted for the new pair since the one working one did a good job. I received them about 3 days after I gave the company my contact info(Amazon wont share it with them so I had to provide it). Used them two days later at a cold soccer game in NJ. I ordered these early on Halloween knowing that is was going to be in the low 30's that evening and I would be outside for a few hours. I put these on the charger and they charged up in about 45min. They lasted 2.5 hours on medium to high and the batteries still had a charge to them. On high I had to have gloves on they were so hot to the touch. I'm happy with my purchase. I use them at work and levels 1-2 are perfect most of the time and 3 is entirely too hot. They do not last as long as advertised and even on 1 they only last 3 hours or so. They often lose their heating ability for periods so I find myself cycling through them.
