  • Tested in the real world
I ride a motorcycle and try to extend my riding into the late Fall in New England. Anyone who rides knows that warm hands give you to a better experience, but they are critical to a safer ride. I have heated grips and even heated gloves that are wired to the bike through my jacket for those really cold days, but wanted something that was battery operated that would fit under my leather riding gloves. I received the Snowdeer gloves and the fit was very true to the measuring chart. I wear a large glove normally and these were a perfect fit. Trying the glove liners on at first, I didn't feel like they were heating up, but I tested them out on a cold October ride in Maine. I started out ith the liners turned on the High setting. I rode for about 90 minutes and my hands were perfectly warm the entire ride. I was skeptical, wondering if it was just a nicer day than I thought and weren't sure if the liners were doing anything. I stopped for lunch and decided I would not wear the liners on the ride home. Within the first 10 minutes I noticed a huge difference. My hands were much colder and by enough of a degree that I pulled over and put the gloves back on. I finished the ride and was convinced that these liners were really helping. They are decently made, but I did have a slight issue getting the cuff over my hands. Once these are on, they fit perfect and the stretch in the glove is comfortable. The cuff is a stiffer material. Some people comment about the cuff being a problem, but I kind of like the way it wraps my wrist. Because I was pulling on the cuff to get them on, I may have damaged one of the gloves . I remembered getting a nice email direct from the seller when I received them asking to tell them if I had any issues, so I replied to that email explaining the issue and had an almost immediate reply. The representative offer to replace the gloves and immediately sent a new pair. I was very happy with the service and impressed with how concerned they were with my satisfaction. I'm pretty particular when I order something and I want it to work as advertised. These gloves work! I gave everything 5 stars but the "Stretch" category, simply because of the issues I had with the cuff, but I've gotten very used to them and like the way they fit. There was no review field for service but I wanted to mention the service as it made a huge difference in my experience. I would add that the batteries give you about 2 hours of heat on the High setting. ... show more

  • These are the right ones
Color: Black Size: XS / S
So as a disclaimer, first time using heated gloves or heated anything, so not a robust base of comparison. That said, these gloves are solid. I did a ton of research trying to find a good pair to help me through New Hampshire winters while I do outside chores on the property (I moved here from CA and TX) and these came up on a lot of peoples' lists so I gave them a shot. They're a bit more expensive than some of the other options I saw, but the battery lasts a decent amount of time, the material stretches with just enough flex to feel tight around the hand, the index and thumb tips work well on touch-screens so I don't have to remove them when I'm changing music or whatnot as I snowblow. They'e liners, so you can use them on their own and they offer decent heat and protection, but they're supposed to go under larger gloves and that's where they really shine. My fingers would be aching, no matter how cold the gloves I wore were rated for, within ten minutes, and with these, that problem is no longer a problem. When I'm outside for a long while I'll turn them on for about 15 minutes than off again for 30 or so to preserve the battery and the heat trapped by the gloves is enough to keep my hands plenty warm. Small nit picky issue is that the charging process seems a little clunky, you have to take the batteries out of the gloves and plug them into a proprietary Y-cable, but whatever, I can live with that. Good product, feels of quality all around. ... show more

  • Nice, warm gloves
Color: Black Size: M / L
These gloves are great! They are the second pair I purchased as I lost the first. Having a rechargeable battery is a must. The battery last a long time if the gloves are on the lowest heat setting. I bought the thinner gloves so I could put a pair of mittens over them, if necessary. I definitely recommend these - the Snow Deer brand items are reliable and work very well. ... show more

  • Works as advertised, may run big, bulky wrist
Color: Black Size: M / L
UPDATE (original review below this part) I got the Small which is actually labeled xs/s inside the gloves. Because they are liners, I'd still prefer them to be a tad smaller but they fit my female hands much better than the m/l. I actually started typing this review with one of them on. I can feel the wire that runs around the finger portion but it seems to be just one wire with more winding around the hand portion. I can't say my hand is really warm which I'd kind of expect since I'm sitting inside. I tried these while cross country skiing yesterday - it was in the teens but windchill at 0 or below. I wore these liners inside my regular heated gloves (which are a little too big on me - men's L). These liners fit underneath but more snug than the normal glove liners I typically wear. It might seem overkill to wear both heated gloves but I've been so miserable in the past I just want warm fingers! So, my face hurt from the windchill because it's hard to cover up completely and still see through foggy glasses, but my hands and fingers...WARM! So happy. Even with the slightly added bulk of 2 battery heated gloves, I was able to grasp my poles just fine and not have to continually stop to shake life back into my fingers. It is what it is - I need all this to be able to enjoy skiing. Oh, some review mentioned that replacement batteries aren't available. They are - right here on amazon. Search for the type of battery mentioned in the product description. Hopefully, though they last a decent amount of time. ----------------------------------- Ok, so I ordered the Medium which is actually a M/L. That's a big deal for a glove that is designed for men & women. It's fits like a large on my female hand which probably is more like a M/L WOMAN'S size - not man's. Part of the reason I got what I thought was just a M was that I think I straddle that size and it also had free returns where the Small did not. So, I know I need the small. I tested the glove first to make sure it worked, though, before buying the Small with no free returns. Each finger warmed up - almost immediately after turning it on. That's exactly what I need. So if the small will end up hugging my fingers, I think I'm set. However, the wrist where the battery is located is kind of bulky and may combat with my gloves that also have the longer wrist coverage (and battery! But that glove doesn't included the fingers for heating - worthless for me). If these work well, though, I might even be able to use the other gloves without the battery and rely on this liner. The cloth is soft and velcro easily adjustable. The button requires holding for a few second to turn off/on so this will be helpful to prevent accidental changes. I always wear a liner anyway so this may be an overall better solution for me. I often take off my over glove to wipe my nose which gets my hand colder even quicker. This may prevent that, too. My other battery gloves cost a little more so this price, if it truly works as it appears to, is worth it. I suffer from reynauds, poor circulation and even have had to quit X country skiing on days where the temp was in the 20s because my fingers simply started to get numb from gripping the poles. SO FRUSTRATING! This also happens on snowmobiles from spreading my hand out to grip the handle or press the gas - even with heated grips and my battery gloves! Having my fingers heated is what i've needed. I'll update after I get my size Small (which is suddenly also available with free returns but is going to take a few extra days). ... show more

  • Mediocre heated glove liners
Color: Black Size: M / L
These are okay, but not great. I bought them because I have Raynaud's phenomenon and my rechargeable hand warmers don’t distribute enough heat to my fingertips. After reading reviews of several heated gloves, I specifically chose these because they were supposed to provide better heat coverage to the fingers, whereas many others mainly heat the palms. The heat does extend into the fingers, but unfortunately they don’t get very warm, even on the highest setting. Because of that, they’re not very effective at warming your hands once they’re already cold. However, they do work reasonably well at maintaining a comfortable temperature if your hands are warm to begin with, so I’d recommend turning them on and putting them on before going outside. On the positive side, they seem to hold a charge for a fairly long time. I was also concerned that the battery packs would feel bulky or restrictive around my wrists, but they really don’t interfere much with hand or wrist movement. The material feels soft and durable as well. Overall, I’m not sure they were worth the price given the relatively low heat output. ... show more

  • Great for cold temperatures
Color: Black Size: XL / XXL
I bike to work; on mornings when temperatures get down to 'teens and 20s - insulated gloves aren't enough these heated glove liners work great. No more cold / aching hands on my ride to / from work -importantly the heating goes to the all the fingers, which is an important feature for what I needed I had been doing multiple layers of gloves before getting these, and that isn't enough - heated liners are the way to go ... show more

  • They're great at first but stop working within about 20 days with everyday use.
Color: Black Size: M / L
Where do I start.. I was VERY excited to try these as I am a farmer and have severe Reynaud's. I was smart and ordered an extra set of batteries as well since they only last 2 hours on high. I wear these under waterproof gardening gloves as I need the dexterity and fine motor skills that other types of gloves would not provide. At first I was ecstatic, I could go about my day with warm hands for the first time ever. Then I noticed over a couple weeks that it would take longer for them to get warm than in the beginning, followed by loss of heat in certain areas. I took advantage of the replacement option since it was under the 30 days and felt that they were just defective. 2nd pair arrived, YAY! Back to warm hands again. About 3 weeks in, I noticed that my left hand still felt cold and it was to the point it was going numb again. The battery light was on like it was working but no heat. 3.5 weeks in and my left glove is completely dead although it lights up like it's on the high setting. It is NOT the batteries as they work just fine in the right glove. Don't ask why but I just ordered my 3rd pair. Reason being is that until I can find something else, the first 2.5 weeks of heat at worth it. I'm currently looking for better options as they're WAY too expensive to keep failing like this. If they again fail, I will return them and not buy any more. IN fairness, if they work better than the last 2, I'm willing to update this review. ... show more

  • Decent materials, limited heating, weird design choices, batteries both trashed after 3 uses.
Color: Black Size: M / L
On the surface, there are a few positive things to say about these glove liners. They do work, they seem to be reasonably well made from decent materials, and they use a standard 3.5mm DC barrel connector to connect to the batteries, so they're hackable if you want to make your own 2-cell lithium battery packs or alternative 7.2V body-wired power supplies for them. They add little bulk to my hands so they fit inside normal gloves (i.e. I didn't have to get larger gloves to go over them). There seems to be a point of misunderstanding among other reviewers here, and it confuses me a bit. These are NOT GLOVES, nor are they advertised as such. They're GLOVE LINERS. Of course you will need a pair of gloves to go over them, or some other means to insulate your hands (like keeping them in your coat pockets). These don't do that, and they're not supposed to. These are an alternative to full heated gloves (which this manufacturer also sells, among others), for the case that you want to use your own gloves, or have the option of doing without in less severely cold situations. I like that I can use regular gloves that are appropriate to the situation (leather gloves to go with my jacket, work gloves for yardwork, etc) instead of being stuck with one style that look like ski or motorcycle gloves. Ok, now that's out of the way, here are the problems I've had. Most importantly, the gloves are no longer working for me, and it appears to be the fault of the batteries supplied with them. The first time I wore the gloves was for an outdoor event in nearly freezing temperatures (1-2 C), and they worked OK at the highest temperature setting (red light on the button). The event lasted about an hour, and I was mostly satisfied with how well they worked. My feet and toes were frozen numb, but my hands were fine. The second time I used them was for an outdoor task at about 7C, cold but not extremely so, and I was astonished to find that the gloves both had shut themselves off by the time I was finished, about 20 minutes later, and could not be restarted (dead battery). They had been charging for over a day, immediately prior to this task. The gloves didn't seem to get as warm. So I charged them again for about 6 hours, and tried turning them on and hanging them off the edge of a chair to watch them. One turned itself off after 10 minutes, the other after 15 or so. The latter battery seemed to charge back up in about 10 minutes on the charger, and the charger doesn't respond to the other at all. These are typical signs of batteries that are defective or damaged internally -- not only do they not store and deliver enough energy, the charger sees a "fully charged" state way too early. I've had these gloves less than a week, and already they're currently unusable. It may ultimately be the fault of the charger, come to think of it, which may not have charged the batteries properly. Other nitpicks include the kind of gaudy/ridiculous silvery trim (not plain white as I'd thought, though honestly I'd prefer all black like in the pictures on the printed user instructions), the position of the battery on the *underside* of the arm instead of the top, where it can press uncomfortably into the veins below your wrist, and the location of the battery pouch zipper on the inside surface of the cuff instead of the outside, pressing the zipper handle into your arm and requiring you to loosen or remove the glove to swap batteries. I guess I'll hang on to these and try coming up with a better solution for the batteries, maybe with 18650 lithium cells and some simple clips. Don't know if I'll be able to stuff the resulting pack into the pouch or just strap it to my arm or onto my belt. Probably more comfortable without the batteries under my wrist. Maybe if I had any sense I'd return them, but it seems like the gloves themselves are working okay. Can't recommend them though. ... show more
