The media could not be loaded. Im sorry but Im starting with my biggest pet peeve and you can see it in my pictures! I decided to lay out a bunch of white yarn to map out exactly where the heated wiring has been laid out to get a good visual on how much is really here. While the blanket is generously sized for two people, the heated wiring is highly concentrated and confined to the very center of the blanket that it fails to adequately cover either person. If two people share this blanket, they will only receive warmth on the inner half of their bodies. The heated section that runs down the space between them is the warmest part of the blanket but is essentially wasted on the empty space or the mattress itself, while the heat needed along the outer edges of each person is entirely absent. Yall couldnt have either added more wiring or spread out the wiring you put in? The controller is wired into the cord that connects the blanket to the outlet and its very self explanatory on what each button does. Theres 12 levels of heat setting but in my opinion, 12 is too many. Im not going to be able to tell any difference between say 3-4-5 or 8-9-10, etc. Just make it 5 or 6 levels. You can control what heat level and the timer for it up to 12 hours then it shuts off. If you hit the preheat button, the directions say it will turn on and heat itself at the highest setting and stay there for a full hour. Product pic shows lowest temp being 30°C (86°F) and highest temp being 45°C (113°F). I had the blanket at its highest setting for over an hour while I took pictures and measurements and occasionally I used my infrared temp gun. I never got a reading higher than 90°F and I made sure to point it directly where the heating wires were inside the blanket. I did this reading on the "top" side that has the pattern and huge label. The opposite side that Id call the "bottom" has no pattern at all and is nice and velvety smooth but you can feel the heated wires way more with your fingers and thus making it feel much hotter. This side however, I did not use my infrared temp gun on it so it probably would have fed the higher 113°F they claim. And on the topic of the two sides of tbe blanket, they call the blanket reversible, but when I think of reversible, I think of both sides being identical. This blanket of course isnt. Top side has a pattern and bottom side doesnt. Plus the pattern side has all the edges folded away and sewn in place, flipping a corner will show that, and again makes me think the pattern side is top and smooth side is bottom...so, not reversible if you ask me. Yes this is a very nice large sized blanket, it feels velvety soft to the touch and it gets decently warm, but I think $75 is a bit high. In my opinion, they skimped out on the heated element leaving a lot to be desired around the edges and I dont think it needs 12 levels of heating. So thats why im taking a star away although I really want to take two.
