The Heat Storm Phoenix Floor to Wall Unit is a great solution for any bedroom or small room where there is not much floor space. At 1500-Watt this heater will easily heat up your room. This heater is safe to touch, even on the grill, making a great choice for anyone. This unit has two power modes, one uses the full 1,500-Watt (red leaf), while the second mode (green Leaf) uses only 750-Watt. Each unit contains our Patented Heat Exchanger with HMS Technology that allows maximum heat from the infrared quartz bulbs without any heat loss from the unit. We used it in our destination trailer roughly 500 sq ft heated it better and more quiet than the propane heater!! it saved us a huge amount of $ not using our propane heat amd the pain of takingthe tanks to ne filled!! Love the thermostat and wifi. We now have it inside a 12x26 shed that we did insulate but havent finished walls yet. Hung it on one of the cross beams. Set it to 60. Last night it got down to 33 here and walked in the building this morning and WOW! Perfect temp it actually said 62 and wasnt running. I purchased this heater for a 380 square foot unheated room. It does a good job of keeping the room warm. There have been a few mornings when the outdoor temperature was 20 degrees F and it struggled a bit to raise the room to the desired temp, but in the end it did the job. I've tried several space heaters over the years and most of them disappointed even though they did heat the room adequately. For these heaters it's all about the accuracy of the thermostat and the technology. Most space heaters I've used can have as much as a 6 F degree difference between actual room temperature and the display temperature on the heater. This makes them much less efficient since you're always guessing at what temperature to set the heater. Install on a wall is a breeze. The template works great. This unit is the most accurate I've used. It's not perfect but it's more than good enough. I'm finding the temperature differential to be about 2 degrees. So if the heater says the room temperature is 70, it's more than likely 68. When using the thermorsta of the heater to regulate temperature in the room, I find that the unit kicks on when the room temperature (as displayed by the heater) reaches 2 degrees under the set temp. And it kicks off when the room temperature reaches 2 degrees over the set temperature. That's not too bad and is good enough for me to be able to adequately keep the room temperature comfortable. The unit is fairly quiet. It's quieter than other 1500 W heaters I've used. The remote control works well from about 15 feet away in. But the real technology advantage of this heater is being able to use the Smart Home App. I use the Smart Home App for plugs and lights and it's a really good app. The interface for this heater is really nice and allows me to control the temperature from anywhere. That technology works flawlessly. My only wish is that the timer could be set for specific times. For example, I would like to turn the thermostat temperature down to 65 at 11 PM and then turn it up automatically to 70 at 7:00 AM. The timer within the App is a 24 hour timer only. After a week of use I'm giving this unit a 4 star. Very few items are perfect 5 stars and this one is close save for the issues I mentioned above. ... show more

Review from a Minnesota Resident: I recommend this product for attached garages. I have an attached 2 car garage (420 sq. ft) with a home gym on one side and a vehicle on the other. There are interior living spaces that insulate the 3 interior garage walls and a carpeted bedroom is located above the garage as well. The big garage door has DIY foam board insulation on each panel. The door is not sealed 100% on the sides and top but there are no large noticeable drafts coming in. The bottom of the door has an airtight rubber seal. Without infrared heater: The garage was around 60°F when the temps dropped down into the 40s. We just got our first few days of weather below freezing and the first snow (29°F air temp, wind chill temp of 13°F). The garage has dropped down to 50°F. With heater: The in-unit thermostat reads an increase of about 2°F in 20-30mins. The heater does have a fan that blows warm air in addition to the infrared heating element. I have an "old fashioned" red mercury thermometer in the garage about 4ft away from the heater and the temperate readout seems to be accurate. I previously used a space heater that could only be used on the floor for safety reasons and the garage is not 100% sealed so it is kind of futile to try and heat the air from the ground with a small space heater. This is much more effective because it warms objects and people which create ambient heat instead of trying to just heat the air. I will update my review if the garage gets down to the 30s at all this winter. Update: It is in the low 30s in the garage and the heater is still keeping my body warm enough to be comfortable. I stand in front of it for a few minutes to help get me warmer more quickly. If I leave it on for about 30 minutes the air temperature does increase by 2-3°F as well.
