Originally bought the tripod with heater /switch and it was great lasted a few years, we ended up having to replace the on/off switch towards the end of its life. Eventually gave out completely so decided to order just the heater since the tripod was still good. Well the heater only doesn’t have an on/off switch and we tipped it over to test if it would turn off like the first one we had and it didn’t.. so I came in here to return and rebuy the tripod unit but upon looking through the details it’s stated all models have the tip over safety feature so I’m unsure if I received a faulty unit or what. ... show more

There's really only so much you can do with 110V/1500W. Given that, these are great little heaters. I have two of them on a single circuit, so I can run either on full or both on low as needed. They have a timer (which I feel I understand 2/3 of the time), great to ensure you don't forget it on. There's remotes (which you probably don't need, but work well if you do). Nothing special, or bad, about the mounting, etc. Recommended. It's hard to imagine how spending more would get you more. ... show more

To be fait this is not forced air. The heat generated is strong but the radius is small. I have this unit in my garage and if I leave it on all night the area certainly heats up but turning it on for 1 hour with 2 units is not enough to create a "warm environment". Considering I am using it to work out in the garage this is sufficient. I do need 1 forced air unit to make the garage habitable. ... show more

I bought this a while back when it was still warm outside and it was a great deal, but when I went to see about getting another one it was triple the price I had previously paid. With that said I will be getting another one if the price goes back down because it is a great little heater. It keeps things warm as long as you are not to far away. This little heater definitely works great for small areas. However in order to get the maximum amount of heat out of this you should probably add a fan to add air movement. It heats up extremely quick and does an excellent job. Highly recommended.
