  • A dual monitor KVM at reasonable price
This review is for the dual monitor, 4 port HDMI KVM. It connects to two monitors, and has 4 sets of input sources. Powered by USB C wire, which can be attached to a computer, or a transformer\adapter. At one point, it seemed that finding a KVM for all my disparate systems was gonna be impossible. And this unit was half the price of other similar KVMs. Even a quarter the price of some really expensive equivalents. So I had my doubts, but bought it anyway. But I just set this sucker up, and so far it works flawlessly. If I notice any issues, I will update this review. Here is what is attached to my PWay KVM: FRONT - wireless keyboard receiver - Logitech K360 - wireless mouse receiver - MS 1850 - NexiGo N930AF Webcam BACK - USB C cable as power source - Dell D6000 docking station connects HDMI to KVM HDMI, DP to KVM HDMI, USB to KVM USB B - - Dell laptop to docking station - Dell D6000 docking station connects HDMI to KVM HDMI, DP to KVM HDMI, USB to KVM USB B - - MacBook Air (2012) to docking station (MacBook runs Amphetamine app) - Dell Inspiron GPU connects HDMI to KVM HDMI, DVI-D to KVM HDMI, USB to KVM USB B - Dell Optiplex connects HDMI to KVM HDMI, HDMI to KVM HDMI, USB to KVM USB B - KVM HDMI Out1 to Dell U2412 VGA in - KVM HDMI Out2 to Dell S2721HS HDMI in ... show more

  • Close Enough to Perfect to Rate 5 Stars
I use this device to switch two monitors, a keyboard and a mouse between four different computers. It does the job well. Once in a while you need to turn this unit off and then on again at boot time when switching to a different PC. This doesn't happen often and is no big deal when it does happen. I give this unit five stars because of how convenient it makes managing four different PCs and how reliable it is, despite this one small imperfection. Your access to any of your four PCs is just one button tap away. I say "tap" because the buttons are electrical momentary-contact switches and not manual switches. When you push one of four buttons, a lot of switching goes on inside of this unit. You may not realize just how much switching goes on until after you finish plugging-in all of the connections between this device, the four PCs, and the keyboard, mouse, and monitors. I got my moneys worth on this purchase. ... show more

  • Great to switch monitors, USB not so much...
I recently purchased the Dual Monitor HDMI KVM to help me control four PCs with a single set of keyboard and mouse, as well as sharing two monitors. At first, the setup was seamless, and I had no problems connecting my peripherals and monitors. The switch is fast and efficient, which is a definite plus. However, there have been some cons to this product. Firstly, my gaming monitor doesn't always switch smoothly – sometimes, I'd get snow on the screen, which can be resolved by turning the monitor off and on again. This issue might be related to the monitor's higher refresh rate. The second issue is more significant. After two months, the USB functionality started to malfunction on my desktop. The devices would continuously have errors, making it seem like they were being plugged in and removed repeatedly. This caused my PC to emit an annoying beeping sound. I ended up removing the USB devices and getting a separate switch for them. While the monitor switching portion still works, I now need two devices to accomplish what this KVM switch is supposed to do. ... show more

  • Wireless Keyboard Mouse on one USB - had issues
Years ago I had a Belkin unit for the PS2 interface - for up to 6 computers - and only used it for 4 computers. Then as the USB devices became the norm for the mouse - I would have to use converters USB to PS2. Eventually I gave upon it. I started looking at when there was a good USB KVM switch every so often. Recently I got both a Raspberry Pi and a Jetson Nano, and the need for that switch was becoming strong enough to look - yet again. That is when I found this device. I read the reviews on Amazon and this device had been "glitchy" in some of the reviews, so I was a bit wary of what I would get. The photos that it had all the cables helped - as my old Belkin cables had been an issue at times. So I ordered. The box arrived and did not seem to have much weight. The box did contain all the cables you would need for having two monitors and a USB cable for Keyboard mouse setup. I thought - I would try using my favorite mouse keyboard combo that uses a single USB stick to operate as my mouse and keyboard. I setup my main computer and could see that it was recognized - but after 10 seconds - it stopped recognizing it - I found that if you unplugged the USB from the KVM and put it back in it would start again but then stop if you stopped using it for about 10 seconds...well there went one star off the rating. So - I had to pull out my oldest wireless mouse with a wired keyboard and hook that up to see how that went - and this was working. The KVM has two USB ports for the Keyboard and Mouse - and apparently they have not caught up to the single wireless combo yet. The video claims to support 4K monitors - however I am still on the old 1920x1200 type monitors - so I do not have the hardware to validate the support - and I do not have a 2nd monitor setup in my usage - I needed just to get the One monitor as the monitor for the Jetson Nano and Raspberry pi, along with a work laptop extended screen and my desktop computer's main monitor. While I had the Combo USB plugged in - the "Hot-Key" setup to go between monitors did not work for me; When I used the individual USB Mouse and Keyboard cables it did work - So I can have all the devices on and can switch between them as needed. The Nano and Raspberry Pi 4 - seem to support the 4K standard - so there is the first pressure to start looking at. The devices I have are USB 2 - which this device says is what it supports. The technology changes over time - USB 3 is much more prevalent and 4K as well. The device should suit my need for a few years still, and then I may have to look at these again. ... show more
