I live on an island in Puget Sound, and my house has a clear line of sight to Mount Rainier, 90 miles away. Seattle, and the major broadcast towers lie directly between, 38 miles away. My first attempt at getting reception was with one of those Clearview flat antennas that claimed a 70 mile range. That exercise turned in to a disappointment and I was only able to lock in to 3 or 4 channels...unreliably. So, after doing some more research, I returned the original antenna and got this one. It did not take long to realize that I should have started with this one...wow! I mounted the antenna in the attic space above the garage and pointed it directly at the towers. The first channel scan picked up more than 40 channels, all of which could be locked onto, delivering solid pictures from all the major broadcast stations along with the accompanying sub-channels. The results were more than I was hoping for! The antenna seems well made, but you must be careful when extending the numerous vanes. I had a couple that got hung up on the plastic fitting and had to use a pair of pliers to straighten the vane so it would extend out. Also, the coax fitting that clips on to the antenna lead wires is a little tricky, as you cannot actually see/confirm that the clips have pressed solidly onto the steel wires. This is due to the plastic box that covers the coupling assembly. Beyond that, the unboxing, assembly, and mounting was as expected. This antenna does not include the mounting mast, so you'll have to have one available. Overall, I am extremely happy and satisfied with this antenna. Having it mounted in the attic, protected from the elements, I expect this antenna will outlive me! I highly recommend this one!

Great antenna, works well, isn't so big that you can't put it in tight spaces. I don't feel it necessary to purchase the amplifier, I've tried so many in the past and this one is about the same, not any noticable difference either way. I would wait to get the amplifier and try just the antenna, otherwise a fantastic antenna for the price. I have used several like this in th epast and at different locations, only issue I've ever had is wind damage as expected with any outdoor antenna. I'm considering installing it in attic so i can elevate it much higher and it will be protected.

At 20’ up and on clear flat terrain. I was able to receive a good clear signal about 35 miles away no matter how I pointed the antenna. And a signal of some kind ( Though pixelated) out to about 45 miles. An signal amplifier with gain control helps.

I replaced my 40+ year old Winegard with this antenna. My old antenna was an excellent antenna, but it was optimized for High and Low VHF. I've found that most of my local stations (Chicago area) are now UHF, even though they still have old VHF channel numbers (channels 5, 7, 9, and 11). There is only one channel transmitting in the high VHF band (CBS on channel 2). Most TV antennas being sold now appear to be only for UHF, so they're not suitable for me. This antenna is optimized for High VHF and UHF. I live about 42 miles from the transmitters in Chicago, and I have this antenna in my attic. I'm using it with an amplified splitter to feed multiple TV sets. The pixelization issues I was having with UHF channels are now completely gone. It's not cheap, but it's a high quality antenna that's made in the USA.

I am in an odd spot for reception. FM is spotty. TV transmitters are at right angels to each other. I am in at lower elevation with thick forest and higher ground around me. I have a SONY 8K capable TV. Analog signals had worked OK but digital signal reception has always been too fussy. I have tried several antennae with poor success. This unit with a line amp was just the ticket. The signal reception is superb. Pro Football provides an amazing demonstration of its ability to provide a strong signal. I do have high speed Internet for streaming. However, the off-air picture quality is much better.

This antenna was recommended by a professional antenna installer. I live in a strong signal area where most people do very well with a smaller antenna than this one. It was recommended because of all the large trees in the area. The build quality of this antenna is excellent. It is very sturdy. It is not cheap compared to many other antennas on the market made in China or Mexico. Winegard is an American company that has been around for many years. You get what you pay for. Would absolutely recommend.

Decided to cut the cable for the new years, researched and came up that this would work best for us. Easy to set up and pointed it the way thier apps said was the most channels. Winguard has an app to help you point it in the right direction, worth the download. Pulling in over 40 different channels, even worked good during the last big storm, so long cable.
