The couch is great, very easy to assemble, comfy so sit and lay on, but probably not for too many nights in a row since it’s not THAT soft, very firm. My only takeaway is when I align the seats up they are not “even” or aligned at all, one cushion is lifted just an inch barely more than the other side and as minuscule as this is, it was a bother , probably a slip up in the construction of it… other than that I did also have an issue with a screw not going all the way in because of something blocking it (which looked like fabric from the couch) ... show more

For the price, it serves its purpose. I needed a small sofa that can double as a bed. Not big enough for a taller person, but still ok. The problem is that the color is brown, not at all gray. And it is too big to re-package and put in my car to return. Just be aware of the color issue.

Immediately after unpacking this, one of the pieces of the sofa became stuck in the up position and no amount of jiggling, tugging, or wobbling would convince it to become flat again. I didn't use brute force as I'd prefer a sofa stuck in the up position to one where one set of hinges is completely broken. There's probably some trick to this but since the directions for adjusting the configuration are vague at best and there's no information on the web that I can find I am basically stuck, alongside this piece of furniture, in an unsatisfactory position. Since the ability to convert between sofa and bed was the primary reason I purchased this item I can't justify giving it more than 1 star. ... show more

The Hcore Convertible Futon Sofa Bed weighs 72 lbs. and comes in a fairly large box. The box is to unwieldy for 1 person to handle, so a neighbor helped me move it into my home. The Futon is in 2 pieces with the 6 legs, bolts & hex wrench in a plastic bag inside a zipper compartment in the bottom of 1 section. I assembled the Futon by myself with no problems. Assemble is very simple. Lay both sections upside down on your floor, place and bolt down both straight center legs with the 4 longest bolts, then place a bolt down the angled corner legs with the remaining 8 bolts. At this point you need to turn the Futon over and stand on its legs. There is one criticism I have. Since the 2 sections of the Futon are held together by the 2 center legs, this can allow the Futon to bend in the center if lifted improperly. This bending could place a strain the legs and frame that the legs are bolted to. You definitely need 2 people to stand the Futon on its legs after assemble. You also need to take care in moving it if you need to turn on edge for movement. The Futon is very well made with excellent black faux leather, the stitching is excellent, the memory foam rebounds quickly after being compressed, the black chrome legs are sturdy with plastic floor caps and the frame is rigid. All of the hinged locking assembles for moveable sections of the Loveseat operated and locked smoothly. Once locked into position they are completely stable. This Futon/Loveseat is a very versatile piece of furniture for a small living space, bedroom, college dorm, office, etc. From folded out completely flat as a bed, to having 1 end up as a day lounge or both backs and both ends folded up as a loveseat, you can find about any combination to fit you living needs. The location in the pics is temporary as it will be moved to a guest bedroom when I have help in moving it. This reasonably priced piece of furniture will be a great addition to our home for guests.
