I had to install the include air plate for a high altitude installation, and reverse the water header. Both were straight forward. After correcting a wiring error on my part, the heater started up first try. It rumbles quite a bit more than the previous Pentair, but I rather like it ;)

I am very disappointed, the heater was installed by a professional and doesn’t work. The heater will not light. I am not going to pull it to send it back I want Hayward to warranty it in place. I have a certified warranty company close to my home. I need Hayward to contact me so I can get this resolved. I have had no luck contacting Hayward!! Please help.

This broke (irreparable) just 2months after professional installation. The pool warranty had expired because Hayward does not stand by its products and provide the customer with a manufacturer’s warranty. This is designed to fail. The more complex the machine, the more likely a failure, and these used to be simple, fix-it-yourself machines—no longer.
