My expectations weren't very high, but the other ratings on this night vision were very good, so I thought would give it a try. My biggest frustration before purchase was there are conflicting specs, so let me clarify what they are. Max video resolution is 4k, 30 fps. Max photo resolution is 8mp. It can record with audio. The optical zoom is 10x and digital zoom is 8x. Overall, not bad specs. In use I was happy to find that video and photos are actually pretty good. The contrast seems a bit high, and you aren't likely to win any photo competitions with this, but the photos are clear when you do your part. This is where you have to keep things in perspective. The focus is very sensitive, so an in-focus photo or video takes extra care. You focus while viewing on the electronic display. While the display is clear, it doesn't seem to have as high of resolution as the camera is capable of. It is very easy to be slightly off on the focus. Don't expect to adjust focus on an object moving toward or away from you. It just isn't going to happen. When optically zooming in or out the focus will be lost, so keep that in mind while taking video. If you keep the above points in mind when using this device you can achieve some pretty good results. The images are clear and bright. The illuminator with its level and zoom adjustments works well. Fast motion when taking videos seems jerky. The memory card needs removed to download photos and video. The included cable only seems to charge the unit. Overall, this night vision / daytime binocular works better than expected and I feel it delivers above its pay grade. ... show more

When this finally showed up in my drive way I was excited. The package is very professional. When you open it up the binoculars come with a hard case as they all should, so I was very pleased with that. I charged them up the first time and then started using them. I'm very impressed with the main part of the binoculars the screen it's very clear. The video is 4k and has sound. It takes great pictures as well in picture mode. The model I got was 64gb micro SD card so it will have enough space for a long time till I hit a computer to further save. The infrared mode night vision which you press the power button once switch's fast and looks perfect for tech at the moment it seems as good as your gonna get it's pretty clear I was impressed as well. It has a very nice optical zoom 10x which they say is 984 ft, me messing around it proves itself can get really good photos. When you do the digital goes to 1480 might be harder to get crystal clear photos from the good optical but that is expected. Overall I'm very pleased with this product I've been recently getting more into bird watching and just more pics of nature and I plan on keeping this with me in my vehicle when my glasses can't keep up with me this will be my go too.     • Great night vision. Good day vision but not much magnification.
I wanted a better magnification camera for daytime pictures. The pictures are ok but not very much magnified. The focus was tricky with two adjustments. Once you zero in you can then fine tune it with the other and it comes in pretty clear. The night vision was tricky to operate but once you figure it out it's pretty good. Better than I expected. The instructions were not helpful but playing with it will help. ... show more

First of all the Hawkray NightVision Goggles are nicely packaged. Secondly, They are heavy duty and come in a HARD case - not some flimsy plastic bag - that is important as things tend to get tossed around in the dark and end up breaking - not in this case! Thirdly, , they are well made - they weigh in at over 1.5 pounds - not a flimsy plastic case that is going to crack when you drop it which is going to happen in the dark. Finally, they are plug and play - no complicated set up. Used them last night and easily saw the racoons that have been playing havoc with my garbage. Before I could see a blob in the night but this camera made the culprits crystal clear. Again, that is important as shooting my neighbors dog would not have been welcome. Tonight, I'll be ready, confirm the pests are racoons and not a dog and ....that will be the end of that problem. ... show more

This is the 3rd Hawkray product that I have purchased since I have started into hunting, and once again I am not disappointed. All of their products are very well made and are easy to use. I was overly impressed with this product when it arrived and I opened it, I was not expecting it to come in such a well organized carrying case. I will definitely be telling people about this product, I was surprised about all the functions that it has to offer. They were advertised at night vision goggles, however I did not expect them to take photos and record video as well. The clarity of the screen and the images were very well impressive also. All in all they are great and the price is manageable as well, if your just getting into outdoor sports or hunting these will serve the purpose and save the pocket book at the same time. This works perfectly for night time hunting if attached to a tripod or other sort of mount by using the mounting spot on the bottom of the device. It's also great for daytime as well, and zooms in super far. The digital zoom works perfect as well, although it already zoomed in so far that I didn't really need to use it much. Spent a couple hours recording with it at night using the IR and had 0 issues with the battery. Even had multiple hours of battery left after tons of recording. Thankfully it comes with a Micro SD so didn't even have to worry about getting another one either. Overall great device and gonna spend tons of time with it in the upcoming months throughout summer. ... show more
