  • works on my springer
Style: 2-7x32AO
My springer is a Beeman R1 carbine in .20 caliber. It has been detuned to 13.9 ft. lbs. by John in PA. It loves to eat scopes. After two UTG springer rated scopes and another Hawke Vantage, I thought I`d give this a try. After about a hundred rounds, it appears to be the end of my problem. Now I have the wonderful .20 that I always wanted. ... show more

  • Good features, solid value, repeatable and consistently holds zero.
Style: 13110 AIRMAX 3-9×40 AO AMX Riflescope
The good: Scope was clear enough with good light transmission. It’s good value at the price point. The turrets have an adjustable zero, the AO works from 9 yards to infinity. I found the radicle to be easy to see, fine enough for very precise shooting, but did not get lost when covering dark targets. I have not tested the accuracy of the measurements. It’s odd to have a mill dot reticle calibrated for 10x on a scope that only goes up to 9x. The turrets have a tactile detent at each click, and the adjustment was spot on, and tracked and return to zero well. It took 1 shot to zero. Adjusted cross hairs to point of impact and it’s spot on. The bad. The zoom and adjustment is very stiff. It’s not practical to adjust either while looking through the scope. It take a significant, but not ridiculous about of force move either. Recoil seems to be less than the 3.5” when on higher magnification. Not tested: Recoil durability. I have this installed in a .25 PCP with negligible recoil. May be a little heavy for a 3x9, I don’t really care. Air rifle is like 13 lbs already. Edit: After about a month. It’s very susceptible to being knocked off zero by bumps. Have it leaned up against a tree and it falls over? Guarantee the zero is off. Hand pump fall over onto the PCP? There went the zero. I checked that the rings and base are torqued to spec. I suspect it’s a characteristic of the scope. ... show more

  • Very nice scope but pricey.
Style: 2-7x32AO
The one thing I wanted to comment on regarding this scope is that a lot of reviewers are saying that the reticles get lost when they are shooting against dark backgrounds. I took the scope out on my deck and looked across the street into the tree tops and almost lost it, when yes I lost sight of the reticles, but then I took it inside and looked through the scope at a large sheet of white paper and adjusted the diopter until the reticles were perfectly crystal clear and then adjusted the AO for the proper distance (not that it was needed) and the reticles could be seen very well, I even took it into the woods and tried to see if I could loose the reticles in dark areas (day was overcast) and couldn't, over all I am happy with how the scope performs but time will tell, you cant in my opinion base a scopes accuracy on the scope, its the firearm or ammo that's not right, unless the scope actually gets broken somehow! ... show more

  • Initial Review
Style: 2-7x32AO
Just installed the scope on my Benjamin Trail NP2 today. I’ve only shot it a few times while tuning the new aftermarket trigger so this is just my first impressions of the scope. The scope came well packaged in a nice box with a cleaning cloth and instruction manual. Both the adjustable objective, the power ring and the eyepiece focus controls move reasonably easy but would stay at the setting unless moved. Both of the horizontal and vertical adjustment turrents are easily adjusted with fingers and have positive click detents. The scope is crystal clear and the AO works as it should. On first impression this is a very nice air gun scope for the price. My only complaint would be that the reticle and mil-dots are very fine and tend to get lost in a dark or cluttered background. Cranking the power up tends to help a bit but this reticle, at least in the un-illuminated version, would not be my choice as a hunting scope. I will update this again once I get it sighted and do so accuracy testing. ... show more

  • Maybe worth the money. Every decent scope is expensive.
Style: 2-7x32AO
I had a $100 Hawke 4X32 that i loved! but it broke after 3 days. That's why I bought a $200 2-7X32. It's a good bit shorter length scope, to my surprise, and it fits my small rifle nicely. It's still perfect after 2500 rounds on my mild springer. I love the dots and dashes on the reticle. I think it's an etched reticle and that's why it's not broke. However, often it's hard to see the reticle when the contrast is not conducive. I may try a $200 vortex on my next rifle to see if I can get one to endure a sub-sonic springer. I'm new to airgun scopes but have had a pile of firearm scopes from Vortex, Sig, BSA, Bushnell and SWFA. Hawke is just as nice as I've had from these names. ... show more

  • Nice but etched reticle to fine.
Style: 13110 AIRMAX 3-9×40 AO AMX Riflescope
This is a nice scope for the optics. Very clear but my problem is the etched reticle. It is such a fine etching that it is hard to see. Very plain if you point the scope at sky but you ( or at least me) can't see it when trying to zero in on a rabbit or something down by the ground where there is grass, brush, etc. ... show more
