  • pretty good for the money
adding this to my 450.bushmaster was pretty confusing to zero at first but caught on quickly the ir illuminator isn't the strongest, but you can see pretty well at 100 yards in pitch black. this thing really shines around 50 to 75 yards and in Texas with a short shooting lane is good enough for me. I did use this on my 22 to varmint hunt at night and it performed well it's not a 1000$ scope with crazy amazing quality but it did last in 7 degrees and rain with no problems. the recording was good, but the crosshair isn't center with the screen during the recording. if you're on a budget buy it and try it. you can always return it. I can't wait to harvest some hogs this spring to fill the freezer and use it during the day during deer season to record my hunts. also, last thing make sure to adjust the brightness and exposure to your personal liking before using it out in the field it makes a huge difference and helps with visibility and eye strain at night due to the bright picture it displays in full darkness. ... show more

  • Wow. Great alternative to higher priced scopes
For the cost, this is hard to beat. It works great actually way better than I was expecting. There are several videos out on how to adjust and how to bore sight it. I got it installed, bore sighted and shooting great at 200 yards. Fit my AR as it is supposed to.

  • Mounting was an issue but great scope for the price.
This is my first actual review I’ve ever left but felt I needed to on this. First I’m going to say I’m impressed with the quality especially for the price. The only issue (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is when I went to mount it on my Ruger 10/22 the bars the set screws go into are too big for the slots on the scope mount. I have it mounted but if I were to be using this regularly then it would definitely come loose. ... show more

  • Good to go.
So far so good. Fast learning curve. This is my first night vision scope. I have a hog problem and the first night I simulated a hunt to practice with all the buttons to familiarize myself. The second night popped a hog. My hunting area is about 100 yards. That is about the limit of this setup. Zeroing the scope was confusing at first. The manual does lack the info that the “up” button lowers bullet impact and the “left” button move the bullet impact right. Unlike traditional scopes. But that said everything else is good to go. YouTube has many videos on this. For $300 it’s pretty nice, accurate, and in warm weather the battery last awhile. Day time use is decent but work well in an open area for guns critters in total darkness. ... show more

  • Adequate budget scope
Good sight for the money. First, for those of us that wear glasses, the diopter is NOT a true focusing diopter. It just extends the eye piece forward or back. Second, The focus is very limited. I found daytime use adequate at best. It is NOT a true 5x-20x as we know a 5x-20x rifle scope to be. I would NOT consider this scope to be "HD" in any way. Finally, the reticles (cross hairs) are way to large. It also mounts very high on the rifle. I had to use a cheek riser. BUT...If you are on a budget, and want a "good" night vision scope, this will do. IR is very good. I was able to get relatively "good" accuracy, both day and night. I could easily get 2"-3" groups consistently. Good enough to hit small game. I don't intend on using this scope out to great distances, 50-100 yds are my needs at the moment, so it is more than adequate. ... show more

  • Very Impressed
Very cool! It's my first scope of this kind. I haven't used it that much yet but it was easy to navigate the controls and get set up for the first use. Zeroed in pretty easy. I'm using it for close quarters so it's a little too powerful of zoom for me right now. It's on an air rifle for pest control around the garage and house. I zeroed it in at 25 yds and it seems to be very accurate. Night vision is better than anticipated. Turned out the lights in my shop and it's near complete darkness and with the the night vision on I could see everything well. I would definitely be able to pick out a mouse. Didn't see any at the time. Controls glow in the dark. It's kind of heavy but not enough to take any stars away. Not sure about battery life yet. I can't figure out how to adjust the focus for the menu yet but I think I can just not sure how. I'm a little far sighted so it's difficult to read the small letters without my glasses. Focusing the optic is ez. There's a adjustment barrel under the scope and it's very straight forward. ... show more

  • Good night time view, troubles with vibration!
I was looking for nighttime viewing, this does that. The digital viewer is a bit grainy but not sure what to expect in this price range. You give up daytime quality. I am really ok with all those points. My frustration is I have it on my spring compression pellet Gamo and have shot it maybe 100 times and the screws are falling out of it. Reallly!! There is t that much vibration!! Screws appear to have been cross threaded. ... show more

  • Surprisingly nice, especially for the money.
I 100% expected this to be a janky pos that would feel cheaply made and have barely usable optics, I was pleasantly surprised. The picture quality is not top of the line but you can count leaves on trees from 100 yards day or night. It comes with two rechargeable batteries which is a unexpected plus. Out of the box the display through the scope seemed too bright so I changed it to the lowest setting and it is perfect. I bought this optic for a 22 and the 5-20x optic is a little overkill for that but I look forward to trying this puppy out on my 300blk bolt gun for hogs and coyotes and looking for a smaller zoom option from the same manufacturer. ... show more
