These things are huge and I love it, I only have one complaint, the piece that goes up and down thats supposed to support the spool is cheap plastic and does absolutely nothing, if you remove it your reel works better except that its easier to get your line wrapped under the spool when casting etc..

Do not user these in saltwater and get them wet internally. They won’t last. I rinse all of my gear off and these did not last but a few months. I bought 3 different ones and they have all mechanically failed. Should have spent the extra $ on something more reliable items. They look nice out of the box and work great until the corrosion starts. I recently purchase a drone to help cast so as long as you don’t get the internal gears wet you should be ok. I will give it three stars only because they do work great out of the salt water. I would presume if it was freshwater, it would not be a problem. ... show more

Bought them in January because of weather was able to take them out Sunday for the first time. DO NOT spend your hard are even easy earned money. There is no drag control at all it is either locked and that slips are nothing. Both 12,000 are the same would be one thing to have one defective, but both! I am a weekend fisherman not catcherman so do not need expensive equipment, however, I do need some drag just incase I was to catch a fish. ... show more
