Not gonna lie, I was pretty hesitant to pull the trigger and purchase this bed. It seemed gimmicky with the lights and suspiciously low priced. The reviews convinced me to give it a try, but my partner and I still placed bets on how many marital fights we'd have assembling it. We were wrong. This thing is incredibly well-engineered. Some of the pros: - It came in the most efficient packaging I've ever experienced from Amazon. I thought they'd forgotten a box or two, but it was just Tetris'd in there by some spatial sorcerers. - It is really well engineered - all the holes lined up. All the screws were easy to get in. and out. and back in again. This bed would be easy to disassemble and move. - The directions were easy to follow. Ikea style images so you do have to pay attention to the details, but we messed up one thing and it was no problem unscrewing and reattaching pieces. It took the two of us 2~ hrs to put together, without fighting, and that included a misstep that required some disassembly and reassembly. We're not geniuses or engineers. - The frame is metal. It's sturdy, and the bed is silent. No squeaking. Even came with some spare parts. - The positioning of the drawers to allow for nightstands is ideal - The electronic components are simple and replaceable if they fail. The LEDs are a detachable strip that plugs into a USB, and you could probably DIY a replacement outlet if that failed too. - The lights come with a remote and like 8 or 10 color settings, plus some seizure-inducing flashing patterns if you wanted to host a rave in your bedroom - Our standard queen mattress fits perfectly, and the metal crossbars are plenty comfy to sleep on, at least with an 8" mattress - It looks great Cons: - It is a little low - for those who have an issue getting up from low places. You could easily throw a box spring on it and bring it to chair height - The drawers are a little squirrely - you kinda need two hands to lock them into place. But they sit flush against the frame - Only critique is that there is not a back wall for the headboard shelf so it's easy to shove things over the edge and have to fish them out (if your headboard is backed up to a wall) - There's also a 3-4 inch gap between the mattress and the headboard, so you could also lose things behind the bed. A box spring or taller mattress would fix that though. I'm still honestly a little stunned this frame wasn't total garbage. But it's awesome, especially for the price. Would purchase again without a second thought. I can't wait to burn the old rickety Ikea frame and be free of it. ... show more

So let me start by saying this was definitely nicer than expected. Materials are good quality, tolerances for gaps are very tight, and there are SEVERAL attention to detail type things that stood out to me during the instal (like the foam tape running down the middle support bar for the crossbars to sit on so the bed frame doesn’t make noise when you get on it). All in all, it’s a great purchase. But, there are a few things to be aware of. 1. Like a lot of reviews said, the “yellow” button on the remote does not produce a yellow light. It’s definitely green. But there IS a yellow color if you cycle through the colors manually (see the color in the picture). It’s actually a nice golden yellow, which is perfect. 2. The way the drawers lock in place isn’t great. Well, for me anyway. I have cats, and they can easily push the drawers out if they get under the bed. Might not be an issue once I put stuff in the drawers, but for now that’s probably the biggest negative for me. Definitely not a deal breaker though and it’s acceptable enough to just pop the drawers back in place occasionally. 3. The bed frame is definitely on the low end. It’s fairly short, but that’s exactly what I wanted since I have a fairly tall mattress. Still something to pay attention to though. All in all, great product for a reasonable price. If you’re okay with the things I pointed out above, then I highly recommend this. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This bed frame goes together pretty easy but expect a few hours if doing it alone like i did. The instructions have very few words, mostly images however during the 2nd or 3rd step to put the head frame together really examine the placement of bolt holes to make sure you put the shelf and headboard together right the first time. After that it is easy sailing, just time consuming and back breaking being bent over the most of the time. I used a chair to relax and put some parts together sitting. They give a few of all the small parts bolts and fasteners in a clearly labeled spare parts section of the packaging. DO NOT rip open the bolts packaging, the bolts are labeled by letter to go with instructions. They give tools needed but a regular phillips head scewdriver works better but their cheapo rachet works fine. It started to fall apart at one point the part that holds the bit in with a tiny ball bearing. I luckily found where it rolled to and put it back together. All in all it is sturdy and well put together. Improvements can be done, for instance if your mattress is slightly wider than the frame, it will push down against the side drawers and open them slightly forever. This could be cured by lowering drawers or raising the frame at manufacturers level. Anyway its worth the price or maybe $20 cheaper. I did like the position of the 4 drawers, most beds on here have all 4 on the sides so if you have bed stands they won't open. These are positioned well. ... show more

I was extremely nervous about this bed because it came in a very tightly packaged box that was extremely heavy. I actually delayed putting it together because I thought it was going to be a disaster. Saturday morning came and my 15 year old and I decided to do it together and from the very beginning, I could tell that the bed was going to be very sturdy. As we began we noticed that this bed was very user friendly for the person putting it together. We only had one extremely minor setback and because of how the parts are designed, it took about one minute to correct. In total the bed took about 2 hours to put together and it was actually a fun and pleasurable experience. I am in the market for another bed frame for my second daughter and I will likely buy it from the same company because of how good the materials are and how easy it was to assemble. ... show more
