Fantastic print quality IF you have your printer tuned and you know how to do it (tune) In my opinion Hatchbox is pricing themselves out of the 3d Filament market with a price of $28 a roll for the neo green. You can get same quality from other name brands at a much lower price. This is the reason for a 4 star. Will change to a 5 star if their prices come down otherwise Hatchbox has made me purchase my filament elsewhere.

The Qidi X-Maker is an excellent printer for 3D printing noobs like me. I didn't want something that I had to assemble for fear that I wouldn't do it quite right, and the Qidi comes very well packaged and is fully assembled. Compared to most other 3D printers, which are quite plain looking, the X-Maker is also quite an attractive printer with it's metallic red housing. Of course looks don't matter if the printer doesn't perform, and the Qidi prints very well. I especially like the magnetic print bed which helps tremendously in prints sticking to the bed properly, and makes removing prints from the bed amazingly easy. I did a ton of research on 3D printing so I'd be as prepared as possible for any printing problems and types of adjustments I'd need to make, and like all 3D printers you need to be prepared to tweak your levelling and print setting every time you change filament. While that has been my biggest frustration in getting accustomed to how to print well, from the many YouTube videos I've watched on other printers, it is just part of the hobby. You are, after all, creating custom objects from what amounts to silly string. :) I've had my X-Maker for 2 months as of the writing of this review, and in that time I've printed over 100 hours as I'm working on an "escape room in a case project" with a lot of 3D printed components. Last week the X-Maker stopped moving in the Z-axis, so I contacted Qidi support in China who got back to me in just a few hours. They sent me some videos of steps to perform to diagnose the issue, and within a couple of days determined I needed a new motherboard, which they sent me free of charge. It arrived in under a week, and they provided a video with instructions on how to swap it out, which was quite easily done. I'm back to printing now and cannot say enough good things about they competence and speed at which Qidi support helped resolve this issue - and from all the way across the world. I've printed with PLA, PLA+, and TPU, and Qidi also claims that ABS is possible although I haven't tried it yet. From the performance of the printer so far, I have no doubt it can handle it with easy. My only "gripe", and it is a minor quibble, is that the print area is comparatively small - the largest object you can print is about 6x6x6 inches, which I think if fine for most users. If you're looking for your first 3D printer, I truly believe that the Qidi X-Maker is one of the best choices you can make.

I want to begin by saying that for the cost, this simply can not be beat! If you are someone that does not need top of the line filament or you are someone trying to save some cash, then this filament is exactly what you are looking for. Currently I use a Makerbot Replicator 2X for all my printing, and so this review is based on my experience with this filament and that machine. I have tried a large variety of different filaments, from the rubbers to wood to abs/pla and the like. From my experience this brand is one of the top! I honestly wish I could give this 4.5 stars, as I feel 4 is not enough but it isn't 'perfectly' deserving of the full 5. When I received my filament, it was not nicely wound around the spool. The first couple wraps were tangled together and if not fixed, would cause a failed print. This is an easy fix, but an annoyance at most. Another observation I made is that this plastic seems to snap when bent instead of flex/crease like most other pla filaments. Again, this should not be a problem but more of an annoyance. When printing large parts there seems to be a lot more deformation as the filament cools when using this filament compared to some of the more expensive brands. Again, this is only a problem if you need accurate prints at a large scale, small to medium size prints seem unaffected. Last observation, this plastic does not stop extruding when the print head stops. This is most likely a very easy fix with head settings, etc. but is an annoyance that it does not print as well as other pla filaments at the same specs. With it all said and done, none of these annoyances are great enough to turn me off from buying this filament again. If you are doing large, accurate prints spend the few extra bucks and get high quality filament. If you are doing medium-small prints and don't need perfectly accurate prints, this filament is perfect for you! I will definitely be ordering this again!

Hatchbox is the one brand of filament that I can consistently count on. I started 3D printing a long time ago when the machines were not as sophisticated as today. Among all the things that would go wrong with my machine and prints I could always count on the problem NOT being with my filament. This color green is perfect all my print projects including flowers, Christmas prints and Halloween toys. I use a Bambu Labs A1 now and this filament works great - I wish Bambu would upgrade their native list of filament options to include Hatchbox. Would highly recommend.

I highly recommend Hatchbox filament. I have never had any issues with this filament and I have been buying this stuff for years. Great adhesion, great bonding and prints always come out looking great. I use this filament in different printers and have zero issues with it. I’ve found that when it comes to filament you get what you pay for.
