  • Reliable PETG and Great Value!
Good quality filament — I always trust Hatchbox for 3D printing. This PETG has a solid black appearance, a normal PETG texture, and it’s not transparent, exactly as expected. Prints well and offers great value for the money.

  • Reliable, Standard, Beautiful
Color: Orange
This ABS spool and other colors from Hatchbox are the most reliable ones I bought. I’m looking at all filament spools from many other sellers (including Bambu), and none are wound as uniformly like these. The diameter quality has been amazing, and the filament itself has been print-and-forget! No more babysitting the print 😅 ... show more

  • Great PETG filament, probably the best i've tried
This is one of the best if not the best PETG that i've printed. I have not done any rigorous testing, but from my standpoint i can basically open a spool and throw it on a printer, and get a great looking part without any bubbles or stringing. It will get moist with time and quality drops, so better have the dryer handy, or use the spool in less than a week. This is true for any PETG in my opinion. They all go bad as they absorb moisture. Another nice thing about this specific brand is color consistency between the spools, and also color itself. Fun fact -- this "Lime green" PETG is the closest match to Festool green that i have found so far. Their dark yellow is almost identical to DEWALT yellow, so for functional parts that are "branded" to either one of those tool manufacturers, this is the way to go. Prints super durable too, i have never had problem with layer adhesion on these so far. I will definitely buy more of these in the future. ... show more

  • Its pretty ok
Color: Red
Its ok. Its not the best I've used, nor the worst. As one or two other reviewers have noted, the quality of the print from this filament isn't all that great. It seems to be sporadic on what temps it wants to use on any given day. One day 240 is perfect, then the next print I do just a few hours later, 240 is burning the filament and I have to take it apart to unjam the nozzle. Then one day it'll work perfect at 230 and next print on the same day it doesn't melt it at all and it just grinds the filament. Its very inconsistent with a genuine e3d v6 hotend and duet wifi controller board. Its weird. I've had to just set it at 235 and give it some wiggle room with the holding temp. Basically when it pushes more filament through it heats up 2 degrees, and when its slower it cools down 2 degrees. This seems to keep the plastic flowing without jamming or burning. Currently I'm running with a home made prusa i3 type clone. 100mm/s infill print speed 70mm/s perimeter speed 40mm/s outer perimeter speed 230mm/s travel speed 235C with slight tweak to holding temp to give slightly variable holding temps A few other things to note: Support for this filament is a pain in the ass. I had the Silver PETG from HatchBox and I will tell you right now to just throw it away. Silver filament from them in general is just garbage from my experience... 4 rolls of silver consisting of both ABS and PETG, and the finish on both of them is utterly terrible.... tiny holes all over the place and so freaking rough... i'm surprised my nozzles never were torn up. its only plus was that support was a dream. It would snap off by hand so easily and while the finish was rough as stated, at least it was consistent and looked proper. The support for this Red stuff is just utterly annoying... it adheres too strongly to the part so you have to break the larger chunks off and then use a knife to cut the parts attached to the print. I've broken several prints so far because of this, and they were pretty hefty prints that were pretty strong in of themselves... but just trying to rip and tug that support away was enough to pull the shell of the print with it! The overall finish of this is pretty decent. its smooth to the touch and is highly glossy. Not as glossy as eSun's red filament, but still pretty glossy. It suffers from the same hiccups as the eSun red PETG as well. It leaves off colored red dots whenever there is a layer change or whenever it shifts to print the outside perimeter. It also occasionally seems to fold in on itself somehow. As in, when its doing the outer perimeter, the inner perimeters shrink and leaves little holes or pockets... its weird... Only the red eSun PETG has done this to me in the past, so I'm wondering if its just because of the red dye maybe? The only filament I haven't had any issues what so ever with, was Hatchbox's Blue ABS. It was my very first roll of Filament and I used it when I first made my "janky printer" as i called it. It was literally made from a swing set and mimicked a makerbot style printer but with two Z Axis motors. I placed the linear rods for that printer at very stupid locations and so whenever it would lower, the bed would wobble and so I never had consistent layer heights and what not. But surprisingly enough, the Blue ABS just printed and worked every time with almost no warping what so ever. Hell, the current printer I'm using was built from parts made on that janky printer, and they still are holding strong! So all in all, this is 'ok' filament. I've REALLY been wanting to get some of their Blue PETG but every time I run out of filament, the blue is always sold out or not offered on amazon prime so its like, 27-30 bucks instead of the standard 24... So not gonna buy at that price! I'll upload some pics in a while when I can get some good example prints that I'll be keeping around and isn't meant for someone else lol. ... show more
