  • Vermiculite
I bought this to add to my diy apron substrate for some of my starts. So far it is doing it's job of retaining moisture. It is a light product, if it works like I think it should I will use on more starts. I will update after awhile when I see how it works in the long run.

  • Finally, a course grade that is actually course
No more bags of dust from Lowe's. This stuff is chunky!

  • Very coarse
This is coarse grade. Chunks are 1/4” to 1/2”. If you want to use it as top-dressing for starting seeds, you’ll need to run it through your food processor. I did that, and works great!

  • Love this product
I ordered this to add to my succlent soil and my plants are doing well. I also add it to the soil of all my other plants as well. They all seem happy.

  • good quality
Very happy with the quality of this Vermiculite, Course Grade- I mix my own soil and the vermiculite I was buying at the store was not absorbing the moisture like it should ( or like i wanted ) and this one does great.

  • Great stuff!!!!
Finally found chunky vermiculite! I have bought 3 others that say chunky or extra chunky but they were all like dust. Not this stuff though! Very coarse and chunky!

  • Drainage is key to all plants
There is not a plant that I am aware of which can tolerate poor drainage. I garden in grow bags and while they drain well, the potting mix also must drain well and most just don't. It's crucial for my garden and it's a product I rely on to keep my plants healthy. I have especially noticed that carrots do so much better with this product, but everything does actually. I always use this product and am very happy with the results. ... show more
