Worked very well the adjustment depth was easy to use and was easily adjusted for fine cuts. Planning short depth 1/16 to 3/16 of an inch worked really well we did not try to make heavy passes with deep cuts.. everything we did we made several passes cutting short depths. It worked really really well. Before using it on our finished product, we use an older piece of wood to check the depth of the cut. This machine can cut really fine and so far it has done a really good job. The wood sizes we were using 1 inch, 2 inch, quarter inch, half inch. Clean wood no paint any painted wood we sanded first clearing the surface to fresh wood then planed. Also, if we had to take off an inch or two, we cut it with a saw first, and then only plained short cuts. If anything changes will update the review. We currently have no complaints at the moment.

I am glad I bought this corded electric handheld planer for my new door installation project in my basement. I am an advance level DIY person and I loved this product. It helped me trim the two new wooden doors to fit in existing frames. If you are new to using this product, I recommend you practice using this planer on a scrap wood plane and get a good handle of how to use this tool effectively. Otherwise, you may damage the new door or furniture. Also, pricewise, it was way cheaper than what you would buy from your local brick and mortar store.

I've been using this for when I make epoxy river tables. Some of the tables have ligths imbedded and wires come out the bottom. I can't use a traditional planer because it would chew up the wires. Using a block plane would take forever to plane down the excess epoxy. This is perfect for getting specifc spots or avoiding specific spots. It comes with an edge guide (for smaller projects) and tools to take the blades out. The instructions aren't the best so I'm 100 percent sure but I think it also comes with an angle guide to help sharpen the blades.
