We bought two of these for our grandkids room. The direction booklet is vague and hard to read. You will definitely want to use a power screwdriver, especially for the slats under the mattresses. Use provided Allen wrench to tighten each bolt. We had to deal with a couple split boards but nothing unmanageable. Beds are sturdy and look great! I did apply some treads stickers to the ladders as they are bit slippery. We bought one bed and assembled before deciding to get the second one so yes, would recommend this bed.

We had an issue with one of the pieces fitting together and sent the company a message through Amazon. We got a reply right away with them offering to replace it. We had already modified it to make it work and let them know it wouldn’t be necessary so they sent us a $30 refund for our troubles without us even asking. The bed itself is nice and sturdy. All of the parts were accurately labeled and easy to put together. It took my husband and I about 2 hours to put together while wrestling toddlers and fixing the piece that wouldn’t initially fit. I’d say pretty much anyone could put this together although you would probably need 2 people for a couple of the parts.

My hubby is VERY PICKY about furniture - me…..not so much, since it’s in the lake house. It comes in 3 LARGE, HEAVY boxes, and the driver left them at the end of our driveway, but when we called Amazon and said that we (grandparents) didn’t really have the strength to pull it up to the house, so they came back and carried it in. Hubby took a couple of days to put it together (but he did it by himself, so naturally it would take longer). If you had 2 people, you could probably put it together in a day. The reason for 4 stars, is that they had a giant, sticker on the headboard that it took me a couple of hours to get off with tons of goo gone. I do have to say though, it’s perfect for our 3 grands. The drawers underneath are a little flimsy, but nice to have the extra space, and we don’t need to use them often. Overall, hubby wanted me to make sure I did the review, as he absolutely loved this set. Only had a couple of extra screws left, but all parts were there. HUBBY DID SAY THOUGH - MAKE SURE YOU GET AN ALLEN KEY WITH A GRIP ON IT TO DO THE WORK (LOTS OF MANUAL WORK). WHERE THERE’S A SCREWDRIVER, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A POWER SCREWDRIVER TO SAVE YOURSELF LOADS OF TIME. Overall, he is thrilled with the set.

All in all I would have to say this bunkbed is a three out of five probably a four out of 10. There were some missing screws so I had to go down to the hardware store and get some of my own. There were pieces that didn’t fit together on the drawers like they were cut too short. There was a gap in part of one of the pieces that was supposed to fit snug so we had to use a sander and saw that down. part of the latter two of the ladder steps are very wiggly because the screws won’t go in tight. Other than that the instructions were simple enough to follow. Once we got it together, it’s assembled and as together as can be. If you’re looking for like a year long bunkbed, this is probably a good one. But if you’re looking for a longer than that, I would pay the extra money and get something different.
