Note - despite the frustrations I endured, I am still going to give a 4* because of how this seller handled the situations as they arise. Tips: 1) Have a group of people assist. I hired a contractor. You *can* do it by yourself but I assure you that you will have a better time with more than one. 2) Read the instructions first. Like many reviewers here, there are steps I would have done in a different order. There are video options to assist. 3) Plan for extra time in case you need replacement parts. This is where most of my frustration was born. I did not have enough time between receiving my order and when I needed to build this by for personal use. There were several quality control issues that the seller would have replaced if there was time. As there was not, the contractor used as much material as possible and supplied the rest. 4) Yes, the bed can be rearranged so the shelves can be on the left or right. There is an opening behind the couch underneath the shelf where you could reach outlets. 5) Mattress - do not exceed 10". Also, side note - you will receive 4 packages. Amazon only gives you the tracking for one, but, if you contact the seller, they will give you the other 3. Other than above, please be aware this sits really low to the ground. The couch will essentially "block" the exit on one side. You're going to spend much effort "scooting" in/out. The couch cushions are especially thin. You may want to consider replacing them if for regular use. You might also want to consider anti-sag materials for the bed and couch. The wood doesn't seem particularly strong and there can be gaps exposed during use (such as cushion moving).

My advice would be to look over all the instructions first because there are some steps that could be rearranged to make it easier to put together. It is nice that the instructions have the qr code to see a video of each step since it is just pictures. The chemical smell is overwhelming so we left the window open for days to air out the furniture. It does have a warning ⚠️ label that it can cause cancer. That information should be given before purchase not upon unpacking the product.

It is a great addition to my home. As a sofa, it’s comfortable and stylish, with cushions that feel supportive and fabric that seems durable. It’s perfect for relaxing or hosting guests. As a bed, it’s surprisingly easy to convert and provides a good sleeping surface. But you do need to get a mattress. I also love the built-in bookshelf which makes it even more practical. That said, keep in mind that it’s a large piece of furniture, so make sure you have enough space and plan to assemble it with some help. Overall, it’s a functional and stylish choice.

OK, where do I begin? Definitely will need two people on a scale one to 10 I would say product is probably a it’s an eight but it’s perfect once it’s finished. You’ll be so happy. It’s the perfect Murphy bed for a micro apartment.when we went to put the bed in place make sure you don’t have the legs on the bed part so you can push it in the cabnet all the way so has hinge will fit. I changed out all the inside of cushions it was uncomfortable to sit on!

Quality is ok. Instructions are ridiculous. Needs to be rewritten. Things should have been done before other things. All out of order. Took 8 hours cause had to undo things. Cushions suck.

So happy i went with this myrphy bed, looks just like the photos. I was able to set it up by myself but would definitely say at least 2 people to make it easier the instructions were easy to follow and even had qr codes to scan for each step for video instructions. definitely recommend.

This murphy bed was a great solution to having a guest bed in my office. It will take at least three people to assemble. I was able to put it together with my two older teenage sons in about 8 hours. We did modify how we attached it to the wall to make sure it was secured into studs. The sofa is very low but I don't mind since it's in my office. I took the sofa cushions to an upholstery shop and had them steamed. They can just steam right over the fabric. It plumped up the cushions and removed the wrinkles. I ordered a 10 inch mattress and it fits well. I am 5'3 and the bed is easy for me to pull down and put away.
