Solid button maker!

Love making my own buttons! Machine works very well, however the plastic backings are not the most durable. One of my buttons fell apart after I accidentally scraped my bag against something. Perhaps it was just a dud, lol! Overall I’m very happy with my purchase.

Fun, Easy - slow & steady creates great buttons!

I love this! Pretty self explanatory - I did have a moment of pure panic when one of the buttons got stuck when I tried to force one to have the cover fit on it and it got stuck in the top circle of the press, but I was luckily able to pull with some tweezers and get it out! If one of the button rounds is chipped or doesn’t have a completely round exterior, the printed paper & cover aren’t likely to stay pressed so be aware when doing that. Otherwise this is great! Plus it’s so much cheaper to make my own vs spend $3.99 + shipping for something specific.

Regretful I got this, waste of money

Hi, honestly I'm not the type to make review but seeing how this was extremely important and extremely disappointing, I find myself here. 1.So to start with, the instructions, something simple.....but no, the instructions came of a different item instead of the one I bought, so set up was annoying, had to look up the button maker I had specifically. 2. The button maker itself is extremely hard to press down, like IV had button makers before and this was required a lot more strength then others IV used. So expect to be extremely sore or tired by just a small amount of buttons. 3. This was the most disappointing. So this button maker can not! I repeat CANT NOT make printed or another paper that is not extremely thin or paper that it comes with. Witch means photos paper "nope" wanna add vylan to make it stand out? "Nope" maybe use photo paper? "Nope" so good luck 🤞 cus the paper u use is extremely hard to find if it does work. 4. And to finish it off, know that you will be looking more then making.....what I mean is, if you buy any other set up or button backing, (and this is with the help of the difference backing rings) this will not work. I got key chain backing, same style, and it came with a ring to help the machine work with this backing. Yeah no, this doesn't work, out of 27 key chain attempt, only 10 actually worked....and good luck trying to use different paper then the one they gave you, because hahahaha 🤣 it don't work at all, attempted 5 with photo paper, and all 5 didn't close up in turn bending the backing and not being able to be used again. So if you made it this far good, because I highly don't recommend this. Your better off maybe buying the button maker from the instructions then this one hahahaha 🤣 *This is all my personal experience, so don't come at me lol 😆* * So horrible to use * Instructions are from different machine * Thickness on papar is thin and you can't use anything els * Included accessories were missing because the instructions did not match the actual button maker I received. So if I could give a negative number I would.

Not bad for the price

I read a lot of reviews for this machine that made me nervous to buy; I previously had access to a pretty high end machine but couldn't really afford that price range, and was a bit disappointed that the "affordable" options are still close to a hundred dollars. After using this machine for a couple hours, I feel okay about keeping it. It definitely feels flimsier than a high end machine, and after not even finishing the buttons it comes with, the die is starting to stick a little. I can see why some folks have it break very easily on them because those parts, particularly the plastic pegs that line up the die, feel like they could snap if it was misaligned very easily. I will also say that it's definitely NOT compatible with metal backings; one of the customer questions asked this so I was hoping I could use some button parts I already had, but it definitely does not work. The cutters it comes with are extremely low quality as well so I will probably be getting something else for that; they have exposed blades and are not very safe. On the plus side, I feel like the buttons it produces are pretty nice and there is a low error rate; I think something important to keep in mind is that you want to be using the thinnest possible paper for the buttons. If you are using thicker paper it may be why you have so many failed buttons. I use typical weight printer paper or magazine paper, nothing thicker than that. I think if you are wanting to make buttons for a hobby or one time event, this is a totally fine machine to use. If you want to make them for business, you should invest in a higher end machine, since it's definitely worth it. Plus, your hands will thank you; this one is not that easy on the wrist, and I really wouldn't recommend making more than 50 buttons a day on it.

This is a great item, but....

This is a great item, but sometimes it can mess up (and most of the time, it's probably your fault). This button maker comes with 2 sizes that are easy to set up and very compatible. The pieces are secure after setting up. Honestly, it's very easy and fun, but it requires a tiny bit of strength to imput. Included accessories: Comes with paper to draw on, clear seals, the base for the button, and the back (the pin). It also comes with circular cutters for the paper if you draw on a larger piece of paper, but the pieces don't click into place. The problem you might have is the item not sealing right, but usually it's because the item either wasn't placed right, or you didn't press it down hard enough. If it happens, you can smooth out the paper and the seal with your hands, but the metal button base and the pin back might not be able to be used again (if you try to do again twice or more). Overall, it is easy and great for kids (probably age 8 and up) with adult help. I would recommend this item for anyone, and it's very compatible and easy to use for kids and adults alike.

So easy to make anything into a button

So easy to use. Fun to do with the kids. Make a lapel button of your cat. Or a few dozen to giveaway at an event or to your friends at the bar. Do you hate the Eagles? Is it someone's birthday at the office? Or a person on your team got an award? Custom buttons cost one cent each to make in your kitchen. Simple and dependable to use. My old button machine made a lot of duds, where the back wouldn't attach. Not this one though, I just did 35 buttons and not a single misfire. Switching sizes is easy. Operation is easy. Everything is easy.
