This bed is great and I would totally get it again. We bought it for my taller toddler along with a safety rail since he doesn’t fit in a crib anymore. We love it! It did come damaged in several places..but nothing to mess with the security or integrity of the bed frame . *UPDATED* The bed seems sturdy enough, but we had a few issues. The color we purchased is supposed to be "black", however this bed is brown--somewhere between a deep cherry and espresso color. Also, all of the screws appear to be a brass color, when in the first image here they appear painted black. We don't like that the screws stand out so much. Customer service was great and reached our to us to see what they could do. We really appreciate that! This company puts customers first. Despite those cosmetic issues, we will keep this bed for our 18 month old (alternative to a toddler bed and he can grow into it). We think it's a great piece that will last for years to come. Got this bed frame for our two little girls, as I liked the idea of having a bunk bed with the flexibility of having one of them being a pulled-out. In the daytime, the lower bed can be hidden, saving space. Also a good idea for when we have guests staying overnight. The bed is made of solid wood, not flimsy stuff. The assembly was a breeze, the instructions were clear, in total taking about one hour and a half. There is no need for box springs. Just get two mattresses then you are good to go. The color we picked was nice and the order came on time as anticipated. I will recommend this product if you are looking for a bunk bed with this kind of setup. ... show more

It said that the bed was black and it is not solid black. Has some brown in it. I wanted it to match my black furniture. I am so very disappointed. I would have ordered another bed had I know that it was not black.

The bottom bed is poorly designed. In the Middle of bed sags because you have the wheels at both ends. With the weight of bed and person there is no support in the middle. Not sure why you didn't include at least 2 more Wheels in the middle. Also most vendors give extra parts. One of the screen head was messed up so had to use another screw. Looks like you tried to cut corners and save a few cents. Would return, but already spent time putting it together. Would not consider another product from Haywood. ... show more
