I bought this coat because I needed a more casual coat for taking the dogs out in winter and for a trip to the East Coast. There isn't a big need for super warm coats in my part of Northern California. Before I bought it I read all the reviews and compared it to about 5 other coats. What I liked best about this one was the sizing,it came in exact sizes instead of 1X, 2X etc and the reviews said it was true to size and it was. It also ended up to be the perfect weight and provided the right amount of warmth for both California and my trip to the East Coast. Why not 5 stars? Because it's not really water proof. After 15 minutes in the rare downpour in California my arms were drenched. I had to keep hanging it inside out in front of the heater. It could have been because of the torrential downpour as even my waterproof shoes were soaked. I still love it and it's fur trimmed hood. I strongly recommend ... show more

This was a really nice coat that's pretty inexpensive compared to other winter coats. I usually get a 4x in tops, as I want them to be bigger so that's what I got with this and it fits wonderfully. It is really warm and it came just in time for a really cold day tomorrow. The only beef I have is that the hood is massive and heavy, which is not comfortable. It will slide down and cover my entire face, making it so I can not see what's ahead of me. I probably won't even use it which is unfortunate because I think it's necessary to have one during winter. ... show more

I ordered my normal size even though Amazon said I should get a 26 which would have been enormous. The coat itself is very warm... but there are a couple of style issues I have with this coat. The coat feels heavy, like if you take it off while inside a store and carry it... it is heavy. Lots of weight. The hood is huge but you can easily remove it if you don't want to deal with it. And I don't care at all for the pocket placement. It makes it uncomfortable to put your hands in and to store glove and a hat just makes the pockets stick out. I already think I look like a marshmallow in this coat so I don't need the added bulk right in front. And last but not least... the zipper is flimsy and not a two way zip so you can unzip while sitting in the car up to you waist. I can see this plastic zipper easily ripping. So even though it's warm, too many style issues will make me return. ... show more

I've only had this coat for a few weeks, and since then only 1 cold day. The is good. I bought 24plus because I like room for sweaters. I had bought a coat from a website that was international. It 2 months to it And it was too small! (I bought a 5x!) I was really disappointed! So I keep looking on Amazon to find a similar one at a good price. NO REGRETS! I wish the pockets were a little wider, I have wide hands. Also I live in Memphis but I feel that it would be great up north in colder weather! ... show more

Please buy your size or even consider sizing down. I did what I usually do with winter coats and sized up to cater for layering. Big mistake. Its huge and too difficult to return at this point. It dies keep you warm, even though the arms aren't as heavily lined as the inside. Good luck to you
