Description

The Hangman No Stud TV Hanger will hang any LED thin screen TV in less time than it takes to unpack it. Consists of two interlocking aircraft-grade aluminum brackets. One bracket attaches to the back of the TV and the other bracket installs on the wall. Once installed a 1" clearance from the wall provides easy access and space for cords and cables. The wall track has a foam backing to minimize wall damage. Once removed all that is left behind are tiny pinholes that can be easily covered up. Comes in Black Anodize Finish. Patented & UL Rated. I'm not sure why this product isn't advertised more; after searching through the countless wall mounting solutions on Amazon I stumbled across this and initially thought it sounded too good to be true. The other mounts were bigger, bulkier, more complicated to install, and more expensive. I'm capable and I know how to install and put things together - but that doesn't mean I want to spend an hour doing something that can be accomplished in minutes. Call me lazy, but not having to find a stud, pull out my level, or use anything except the hammer and screwdriver I keep in the kitchen drawer anyway were major selling points. It took less than 10 minutes to install, is perfectly level, and incredibly sturdy. I thought I might have trouble because the tv I bought this for was a bit older, but it worked great. I wish I'd discovered this years ago - I wouldn't have hesitated to hang the tvs as long as I did and could have saved some money over the regular kits I bought at retail stores. This will be my go-to from now on, it's so easy to install that it's ridiculous. In this picture I hadn't installed the wire hiding kit yet so don't judge. Like many, we built a fully functional shared office in our home, and we needed (wanted) a sharable screen between our desks. We didn't need anything fancy, but we wanted to avoid bolting into studs, mostly because we'd be punching into an outside wall, it creates large holes to fill later, but mostly -- the studs didn't line up where we needed them in order to center the screen exactly where it needed to be. Enter this surprising little device. Low cost, easy install and totally adjustable. Sure, the TV doesn't swivel, or spin... It just hugs the wall, but that's all we needed. Also, it doesn't have to be perfectly centered, since you attach one "V" shaped long bracket to your TV and drop it into the "V" shaped bracket on the wall. Slide the monitor side to side until it's where you want it to be, and secure the lock down strap which prevents the monitor from being lifted from the track. Installation can't be easier. No bolts, no drills. Place the wall bracket where you need it, and tack it in with one of the supplied nails. Then level it, tack it in on the other side, and then add the remaining nails (there are several, but they're similar to picture hanging nails). Once all the nails are in place, the bracket can hold a lot of weight. We will be buying more for other TV's (including a 55" plasma) that don't need to spin or swivel. This product is extremely easy to install yourself in almost any type of wall because it distributes the weight so well. This works in drywall or plaster in my opinion. I double checked the position by sliding the provided level across the wall and started by putting one nail in the center and then carefully at one end using the level. Once I was sure it was level I carefully put in a half dozen more. You don’t need to use all of the nails provided! After I hung the TV I realized that one side seemed a little higher than the other and I took the TV off and realized I just needed to make sure the screws on the back of the TV were positioned properly. It looks great and hangs fairly close to the wall, depends on the back of your shape of the back of the TV though as well as you can see in the pic. Make sure not to put it too high though since there isn’t any repositioning or adjusting for different viewing angles. With a deep and low sofa this was mounted on the wall at about 44” off the ground for example. Always good to put tape at eye level on the wall too see what works for you depending on distance and conditions. ... show more

I was pretty skeptical of this, considering I'm hanging a $400 TV on a $30 contraption that I couldn't understand how it worked. However, 2 years later, the TV hasn't slipped, fell, or sagged. Despite using just 10 little picture frame nails and a piece of bent aluminum to keep it there. No idea how this is the case, when there's products out there that require drilling into the wall with huge screws, but it works! Took me about 10 minutes to get the nails in, 30 seconds to get the TV piece screwed on, and voila! I'm moving houses now, and this little engineering miracle will be coming with me. Small bit of toothpaste into the nail holes, and landlords won't know the difference ;) ... show more

I bought one and once I realized how easy it was to install, I bought another one. If you don't need to swivel or move the tv, this is a really great option requiring no stud for smaller light tvs.

Just got the hangman no stud TV mount for my 32inch television. Starting with the Pro's: 1. Good thing is that I didn't have to drill a hole in my rented apartment for mounting my television. 2. Easy to install and can be done easily by 1 person. It comes with a small alignment tool that tells me whether the bar mounted on the wall is aligned correctly or not. Below are the Con's and the reasons why I deducted 2 stars: 1. The screw's given in the package to mount the bar against the television were of no use. None of the screws fitted my 32 inch Panasonic television. The package comes with multiple screws with the hope that atleast 1 type of screw would fit the television. Luckily the 4 screws left after unscrewing the TV stand came in handy and I was able to reuse those screws for my TV mount bar. Just pure luck else I would have been forced to buy new screws from the market. 2. Doesn't give you the option to tilt the television and that can be a problem for some people. Also I would be afraid to mount more than a 40 inch television using this option. 3. Price of 30 dollars can be argued considering none of the screws provided were of any use. Overall not bad for a mount option that does not require drilling a hole in a rented apartment wall and considering it's good enough for my 32 inch television. ... show more
