I waited for a year and a half to write this review. I don’t believe a review should be immediately published. This motor is everything advertised. It is easy to set up, starts easy if you pay attention to the details, runs very well even with the 25 to1 break in fuel, is not heavy even for a 60+ year old and most importantly moves a 14’ Jon boat quite well.     • Look over motor before use
Checked the spark plugs and they were gapped .020 and the manual called for .035 gap, corrected the gap and the Motor ran like a charm. Pushed my 1432 aluminum jon boat with no issues up to 17 mph. Be sure to fill lower unit with oil and follow break in procedure.

Starts and runs great! It unfortunately arrived quite damaged. The hole doesnt impact functionality, but for $199 shipping, it's rough. I've reached out to the seller. Was reimbursed the cost of a new cowling. It now has about 30 hours of runtime. Stellar little outboard! Starts easy, gets my 1436 Ouchita flat bottom w/150lbs + 170lbs of me up to 20mph given enough room and proper trim ... show more

Bought a 12hp outboard motor from cofeco arrived within 3 days still yet to test it out but box came perfectly fine no rips or tears packaged with care all being said make sure seller/shipper is cofeco. Made that mistake already so buyer beware. COFECO is a legitimate seller.

Purchased for a 12foot Alumacraft job boat, works excellent. Starts easy and moves boat with 2 adults at about 25mph at full throttle. Alot of fun and good times.

    • Arrived well packaged - idles a little rough but not broke in yet...
Very Well packed for shipping. I performed all pre start lube steps. Started with fresh 93 Octane NON-Ethanol oil:fuel mixture 1:25 (for 10 hour break-in). Started on 4th pull. Idled for an hour in water, then an hour and half on the lake at reduced speed. It idles a little rough (vibration) for a twin cylinder, but it will idle at 600 rpm. There's vibration at higher rpm too but not excessive. The noise is more than I had hoped for too. It does push my 14' aluminum semi-V hull along well enough with two people. I'll have to wait for full break-in before I see if it comes up on plane OK. I'm happy with it so far... ... show more
