I love having a dedicated spot for my hobby supplies, and this kit really delivers on the organization front. When I opened the package, I was surprised by how much stuff was packed into the wooden storage box. There are dozens of spools of thread, a pair of fabric scissors, and so many needles and pins that I doubt I will ever run out. Having the handheld sewing machine nestled inside the box is great because it protects the machine from getting dusty when I am not using it. I have been playing around with some scrap fabric to get a feel for the stitch, and it works pretty well once I got the rhythm down. The process of threading the machine is standard, and once I started, the fabric fed through without needing me to push or pull it too hard. I used the seam ripper to take out a couple of practice stitches, and it felt sharp and effective. I appreciate that the kit comes with buttons and other supplies, so I do not have to run to the store just to find a single matching button for a shirt. My crafting area is usually a disaster, so having everything in one sturdy container is a big win for my sanity. I find myself reaching for this box even when I just need to cut a piece of ribbon or check something with the tape measure. This ia a really nice little sewing kit. It comes with everything you need to get started. The handheld sewing machine is comfortable to hold and works well. It provides simple stitching for hems, holes, or any other quick fix you may need. It's also a great option for kids crafting. Operation is straightforward and I had no trouble loading the bobbins. It comes with a variety of colors of thread ready to go. I've used it for a few simple fixes (curtain hem, pillow case hole, placemat edge, etc) and have been happy with the ease of operation and strength of the stitches. It's nice to not have to pull out my heavy sewing machine. I can take this straight to my curtain and not even have to take it down to fix the hem. It's a great little machine to have around. Also included in this set is a beautiful wooden box, all of the accessories needed for the mini machine, and even a pair of scissors. The pearl pins and pin cushion are very pretty, and I can never have enough pins. There are a lot of different spools of thread included as well. This isn't just a kit for the handheld machine - it can easily be used with a full size machine for everyday sewing needs. Overall I am happy with this kit. It is much nicer than another one that I have, so this will be my primary handheld machine and I'll be using the sewing box and everything in it with this machine and my full size one.

I've been putting off fixing a pile of clothes for months because dragging out a regular sewing machine felt like overkill for a loose button or split seam.
