Size, portability, effectiveness, versatility, ease of use, and speed were the reasons I picked this in the first place. It’s also lightweight! It says “handheld,” and even my small hands can comfortably grip it. It does require batteries, but there is a port for an AC/DC cable, too. This machine exclusively threads with bobbins. Mine came with pre-threaded white, yellow, and green bobbins, too. These bobbins are standard size making their replacement very easy. Truly, a great option for learners who have limited space or for individuals just needing quick work in situations that don’t allow or necessitate a full-sized machine. (Think: a tear in a curtain, a split hem, arthritic hands, etc.) Note: I bought this as a gift for a friend who is new to sewing and typically requires a quick turn around.
