It works pretty well on thin, sturdy fabrics. I could not get it to work at all on knits, fleece, or thick fabric. I tried to sew together two pieces of thin flannel, and it would look like it was stitching, but the thread only dented the top fabric and never actually stitched anything together. It worked, but my daughter had to find the youtube directions. Your printed instructions were indecipherable - font way too small.

I have used many different sewing machines, but don’t enjoy or require sewing enough to spend money on a proper machine. Of course I was thrilled to find a small, affordable and handheld sewing machine with great reviews. Except after initial use of the sewing machine, I don’t believe a 4.7 out of 5 can be correct. The tension changes while you use it, it is not easy to keep steady and the product seems cheaply made (duh, what did I expect for 17 bucks). 20/20 vision will not be good enough to read the instructions or look at the instructional graphics. I dislike the product as it is not worth. You cannot able to do a little sewing with it as it showing the machine is working but thread is coming out from other side.
