This little machine is good for the price. It is not something that I would get for a beginner sewist. I am a seamstress and this is perfect for a quick hem while I am visiting family in another state. It is louder than my brother machine at home. The stitch will easily pull out if you don't tie it off properly. The instructions are not very clear on threading the machine. The needle does not pull up very high making it difficult to get some material under it and very difficult to sew over seams. So, if you are looking for something easy to use for a beginner, this is not it. I do not suggest any handheld as a beginner. Get a smaller full size for a beginner to get to know how a sewing machine works before getting a small handheld. If you are wanting a small handheld for easy travel to do very simple stitches in thin material, this is perfect! It will add a quick hem to garments, it can make a seam on fabrics, and it can attach material to thin items. It does not perform miracles, but it will get the small jobs done. I added a picture of how it is threaded, and a picture of a hem that it did in a pair of linen pants.

I bought this sewing kit mainly for quick repairs at home, and its been quite practical. The handheld sewing machine is lightweight, easy to use, and works well for simple repairs like hemming edges, loose seams, or thin fabrics. It won't replace a full-size machine, but its perfectly adequate for basic tasks. The wooden case is very well organized and feels like good quality. The kit includes many useful accessories (threads, needles, buttons, scissors, measuring tape, etc.), making it ideal for both beginners and occasional use without needing to buy additional parts.

Sorry road review that it's a nice kit but the machine sucks it doesn't work it's the cheap $10 one as seen on TV they put it in the super nice box with all this nice stuff but the machine itself is a pile of crap do not buy this kit unless they put a better machine in it I could have bought all the stuff that's in this other than the wood box of the dollar store for like 6 bucks other than the machine. I put batteries in the machine it doesn't work and I even realize that they put a power cord in the box with it and it doesn't work either with the machine what a pile of crap I hate leaving bad reviews but what a joke

I was unable to get the hand held machine to work. So, I am sewing by hand which is what I was trying to avoid by puchasing this. However, I do love all of the sewing essentials as well as the sewing storage box, scissors and colored thread assortments.

Living here in the US for work makes it super hard to find a seamstress, so I bought this handheld machine and it has been a huge help. I was surprised by how complete it is; it comes with its own scissors, measuring tape, plenty of needles, and various thread colors, so you don't have to buy anything else. It’s very easy to use and helps me a lot with fixing small details or quick repairs on my clothes without any hassle. Very good purchase for those of us who don't have a seamstress to help with these details.

This is the most thoughtfully crafted kit! The handheld machine is standard and sturdy, but what really makes it stand out is the absolutely beautiful box, the thoughtfully curated items in the kit, and the lovely enclosed letter. I felt like I purchased this from a family craft store or a craft fair. I will truly cherish this kit and may even choose to give as a gift in the future. They even thought to add an ac/dc adaptor so you don’t have to have batteries for the machine!!! I’m blown away.
