I'm kind of hopeless when it comes to sewing and mending, and I thought that having something portable would improve my skills just a bit, or at least make things a bit easier for me to sew simple projects. This little machine is actually pretty cool, and wasn't too hard to figure out once I got started. If you don't already know how to sew, this will involve a bit of a learning curve. But once you start everything is pretty straightforward and I was able to mend the edges of some blankets that were fraying.
