What an incredibly cool idea to have a handheld sewing machine that is built as well as this one is. I love the carrying case because it holds everything inside. The only thing that it doesn’t hold is fabric yardage. I’m so glad that it doesn’t hold fabric because that then it wouldn’t have a handheld sewing machine. I was so excited when I saw everything that was included with this handheld sewing machine, especially the hard case. It keeps everything together, and it is so organized. This makes me incredibly happy. I just love it! All I truly need is fabric and we are set. In fact, my 6 year old granddaughter has been wanting to do crafts with me. I asked her if she wanted to make fluffy pink pillows for her newly remodeled bedroom. She was more than excited that she could be so involved with the sewing process. My large sewing machine is too intimidating to her, and I understand that. Of course, when my granddaughter and myself were talking about making pillows, my grandson caught on. He asked if we would make him some pillows. He wants black pillows! What a contrast, but it’s all about the bonding with the kids. This handheld sewing machine is going to create some beautiful memories with my grandchildren, and deepen my relationship with my daughter, and her husband in turn. All I know is that this will be the beginning of my granddaughter’s journey to learn to sew. I am so happy I’m also really happy that there were in-depth instructions included, but they are printed so small that I’m going to have use a magnifying glass to read them. Not the end of the world. The items that are included with the sewing machine out weigh anything that I could have put together for this kit. Plus, my sewing machine has 2 power supply modes, one of them is 4 - AA batteries, as well as being powered by USB. It works beautifully! This is going to be handed down to my granddaughter in several years, and then she will on her way to having my big sewing machine some day. Overall, I’m thoroughly impressed by the handheld machine itself, as well as everything that comes with it. Put it all together, literally, inside a hard case and we are off the sewing races. I don’t see one issue at all with the sewing machine. It is truly a gift that will be worth quite a lot for many years to come.

The handheld sewing machine came in a black, zippered storage bag. Inside, I found a user manual, a USB power cable, and a clear organizer box filled with colorful thread spools, bobbins, scissors, threaders, sewing needles, a seam ripper, a pink plastic thimble, buttons, snap buttons, and a measuring tape. Everything was neatly arranged in compartments. I opened the user manual and carefully read the instructions. The first step was to make sure the machine is in the locked position. I turned the rotary wheel to raise the needle arm to its highest position, as shown in the diagrams. With the needle arm raised, I lifted the fastening plate and placed a piece of fabric underneath it. I pulled at least two inches of thread through the needle from back to front, just as the manual suggests. Holding the handy stitch in my right hand, I pressed the power switch with my thumb while supporting the bottom with my other fingers. The machine fed the fabric to the left. I follow the centerline on the cloth fastening plate to ensure straight stitching, guiding the fabric with my left hand. Whenever I need wider stitches, I simply pull the fabric to the left a little faster. Finishing the seam is quick. I raise the needle arm again, pull the thread out about three inches, and cut it with the scissors. Carefully lifting the fastening plate, I remove the fabric, making sure not to pull the thread and unravel my work. Following the manual's instructions, I turn the fabric over and use the threader to make a secure knot at the end of the seam. The different colored threads allow me to match my stitches to the fabric. Adjusting the thread tension isn't hard. If the stitching is too tight, I turn the tension control slightly to the left. If it’s too loose, I turn it to the right. These small adjustments make a big difference in my stitching. Replacing the needle is another task I learn from the manual. Using a screwdriver, I loosen the set screw, remove the old needle, and install another sewing needle with the flat side facing the front. I can choose between 4 AA batteries (not included) and the USB cable to power the handheld sewing machine. I prefer the latter as it is less wasteful and better for the environment.

This sewing kit has a storage box so you can take it anywhere with you. The mini sewing machine is very easy to grip and simple to use. It helps you to fix clothes or anything in just minutes. It comes with all the needed tools and all the primary colors needed. Great to have one in bags for on the go for emergencies or just crafting, all better than taking a big sewing machine with you or having to end up throwing the thing away because you couldn’t fix it. Safe and doesn’t take up too much space, love this!
