The instructions on how to use the product were illegible. The illustrations were also difficult to understand. The instructions also specify an option that does not exist on the unit. Iā€™m disappointed because I wanted to repair some of my favorite summer shorts.

    • One problem stands out
I have been trying to find an answer to this problem without any luck. In the instructions and on other handheld sewing machine there is a lock/unlock button. This Avoly does not. I understand its necessity to protect the user when setting up the threading process and other use points. Even when adding batteries the device is to be put in the lock position. Three times within the first hour of use I accidently started the sewing process by accidental contact. I am hoping to find out any information concerning this oversight, and if not, I will probably seek a refund and get another handheld. Hope this helps. ... show more
