We picked up this handheld game console mainly for car trips and quiet weekends at home. The size fits easily in a child’s hands, and the buttons respond well without getting stuck. It comes loaded with many old school games, most of which are simple for them to figure out on their own. I liked that it was ready to play right out of the box, and it can also be connected to the TV through the AV cable when we want a bigger screen. During a long drive to visit relatives, my kids shared turns playing it in the back seat. It literally helped keep the car peaceful for hours. The screen is bright enough, and even though the graphics are basic, the gameplay feels smooth and stable. I also appreciate that it charges quickly and holds power long enough for several play sessions. When I’m chatting with friends or cooking dinner, the kids sometimes sit on the sofa with it and enjoy the mini games. The sound quality is fine, not too loud or sharp. I would not call it high end, but for something this compact, it does its job well.

This little handheld is like carrying around a full arcade in miniature form.
