Been playing saxophone using many reed brands for years, these play like a Rico standard reed, but are softer feel like a Vandoren… quality of responsiveness is closer to some of the pricey reeds marketed as being jazzy. Fuller bodied sound with a lot of ability to manipulate the tone.

I was surprised how good these are for the money! These are totally good reeds. Perfect for beginners, or experts if you need to mellow your sax - if maybe you're playing in a house or small room where you might be going to a leather ligature. I play Alto, but these actually worked fine. I got a saxaboom that uses a tenor mouthpiece, and these were the ticket for it. For the price these are a steal! I don't have anything negative to say about these at all. I can't prove it scientifically, but I thought maybe they dried out a little faster than I'm used to ? It could be my imagination. It's a whole ten pack - for me, that's at least a year's supply!
