Description

Kym Industries Inc. Cab Level Dump Tarp Kits are built for simple dump body and dump trailer tarp applications. The durable hexagon aluminum tarp roller telescopes to the desired width of your truck. The heavy duty tarps feature grommets every 24" with reinforced, double-stitched hems. Solid vinyl tarps are rated to 400ºF. Each tarp has a standard sewn-in rear pocket to fit an optional anti-sail retention bow (sold separately). All kits include: mesh or vinyl tarp, 7 in. folding crank with detent, tarp roller, a 20 ft. pull-rope, rope tie down hooks, mounting brackets, and two rubber tarp straps with S-hooks. Seems to work well, but a couple of deficiencies. One, the bolts for mounting were too short by an inch. Had to go to the hardware store to get the correct length. Second, the tarp bolts were also too short by ½ inch. Had to use a chisel to hold them in place while getting the tarp attached, and had to skip the washers. Third, the instructions need improvement as the type was microscopic and hard to follow since the parts list didn't label the parts well. Didn't list the needed tools, either. A drilling template for the mounts would also be helpful; I had to make my own. Last, the brake has a problem in that the gear teeth are not milled square; that combined with the tension spring being a hair too long causes the brake to slip. ... show more

Bought this for my Utility trailer. So worth the money!!!!! The kit is easy to install. The parts feel really durable and I love that it is a little over engineered. I will be buying another one for my dump truck.

Finally got this installed and was able to use it right away. Works great, no more remembering to take the tarp out of the bed before throwing debris in. Easy to unwind and lock in place. Would recommend. Installation did require some drilling, but easy with the right tools. I wouldn't say I'm an expert installer but limited mechanical skills would be needed. ... show more

You can not piece together a cover like this for the money. Tarp is not great but they have to be replaced often the way I work. Worth the money

My order arrived sooner than expected and was well packaged. The instructions are a little difficult to read because the font is very small and the ink light. However, it is pretty easy to assemble. I had a question about my installation and called the manufacturer. A real person answered the phone and they were very helpful! Ordered a 15 ft tarp and received a 12 ft. Came without instructions and missing screws to assemble. I bought this trying to save some money and it wont even do the job I bought it to do. Do yourself a favor and buy from someone reputable. Dont waste money like I did.
