Just got my Handi-Hammock installed. It seems sturdy and fits my 12 foot frame just fine. Even though I have a slightly different frame configuration than most people--and therefore had to install the knurled screws in different places than the directions indicated--it went on just fine. Very pleased with the purchase. I float most of my tops, so I either have batting or the whole quilt under my feet or my stool--no more! I am very happy I bought this. :) (Btw--mine came from the third party seller American-Sewing, and there was some confusion and delay in shipping my order, but after a couple of emails it all got straightened out and I got my Handi Hammock new in package as promised. ... show more

Was able to mount to Continuum II frame using one set of assembly handle nut included with net and a set of swivel hooked magnets purchased at local hardware store. Handle nuts screwed right into original holes for batting bar on frame. Could use 4 magnets to adjust placement on frame work if desired. Purchased net as less expensive option and out of stock batting bar at Grace Co. Will see how well it holds up. Is sturdy and loaded easily to start with. ... show more

Yes, this hammock works wonders! Easy to install and makes my life while long arm quilting so much easier now that the quilt top and batting are not on the floor any more.

    • Worth it!
Love not having the quilt batting dragging on my floor where I'd step on it or the cat thought it was her personal toy or bed! It holds queen size batt well. However, it is customized for a Handi Quilt longarm frame and came with the hardware to attach it. The description says it's compatible with other frames. I have a Nolting and the only way to attach it was by using cable ties and trying to figure out placement so it wouldn't interfere with the machine movement. It is ok, seems to be a bit droopy, like the batt will tip out. Overall it is a good product at a reasonable price and I'd recommend it to longarm quilters. ... show more

    • No more stepping on batting
Wanted this for a long time, just never got around to ordering. This eliminates walking over the batting hanging on the floor during the quilting process. I have the front handle crank so instead of installing as indicated with hammock, I used "S" hooks over ends of quilt frame which allows me to unhook hammock if I need to position batting. It is exactly what I need even though it wasnt made for my Gammill. Easy to install. I have only had it for 2 days but it has made keeping my batting and quilts off the floor a breeze! I love it!

    • Nice , but needed to adapt
As stated it’s for 12 foot Handiquilter (HQ) frame - their higher end ones with large screw holes. I made it work on my HQ Loft10’ frame with velcro straps . While it’s very nice to have the batting off the floor, it’s harder to get to the bobbin. It is a very well made product!

No more batting on the floor under my long arm. This hammock is perfect. How did I live without it for so long. I don't care how clean I kept my floor the batting seemed to always pickup extra threads off the floor. Now, my batting never touches the floor. With the long bungee like ropes, it was easy to attach to both ends of my 12 foot frame. ... show more
