Description

With the Hamilton Beach Bowl Scraper Food Processor, there's no need to stop and remove the lid to dislodge food from the side of the bowl. The built-in scraper does the work for you, even while the processor is on for continuous processing. Kitchen tips: For a more uniform consistency, start with pieces of food that are similar in size. Cut food into 1-inch (2.5-cm) pieces before processing with the chopping/mixing blade and leave room in the bowl for the food to be tossed around. When chopping foods, pulsing on and off will produce the best results. Operating time will depend on the quantity of food being processed. Most foods can be sliced, chopped, or shredded in seconds. To slice or shred cheese, use firm cheeses like Cheddar or Swiss that have been chilled for at least 30 minutes. Soft cheese like Mozzarella must be placed in the freezer for 30 minutes prior to processing to ensure it is firm enough for shredding. All removable parts are top rack dishwasher safe.

I love my Hamilton Beach Food Processor! It chops within seconds and is very easy to use. Cleanup is quick and the items can be put in the dishwasher. I can't see any reason to spend more on a food processor. This does everything as advertised. Plenty of power. All the components are easy to assemble and clean up is easy--just do it promptly before things dry up and you'll have no issues. Very good value for the price.

This isn't my favorite food processor, but it's a great value. It's inexpensive and it gets the job done. It sometimes has a slight burning smell if I run it too long. The bowl scraper is my favorite part, and it actually gets food off the sides of the wall. I purchased this blender in Nov. 2022, and it stopped working within three months. I reached out to the manufacturer and I was provided a replacement. I recommend purchasing the 3-year protection plan just in case. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I got this because my old food processor I had broke. I mainly use my food processor for blending. I make a lot of hummus and also sunflower seed butter. My son is allergic to peanuts so we use sunflower seed butter. But it tastes yummier to make our own and it ends up being so much cheaper. Here is my recipe. I buy the 16 ounce bag of roasted unsalted sunflower seed kernels from Aldi (already shelled) and dump it in the food processor with 3/4 teaspoon of salt and 2-3 tablespoons of sugar. Sometimes less. Sometimes I do 1/2 teaspoon of salt. You have to play around with it to see what taste you like best. Then I just grind it up in the food processor. It takes literally a minute or so. It’s really fun to watch it turn all creamy. You do not need to add any oils or anything. Just blend and trust the process. This food processor is so powerful! It makes the creamiest hummus. I love it so much. I have used it to slice zucchinis and carrots and it does that very well. I do use the shredding function often to shred blocks of cheese and it does a fantastic job. I don’t really ever use the built in scraping tool thing as I don’t feel it really gets all the bits on the side so I still have to turn it off and scrape. So at that point it’s just something else I have to wash, so I don’t use it. The only downside to this product is it really is not sealed. It’s not like a blender. You can’t have straight liquid in it. There has to be some thickness to whatever you are blending or it just leaks right out. One of the first things I used this for, I can’t even remember what it was, but I was so upset because it just leaked everywhere! But. I have an immersion blender and just use that for situations that call for me blending up liquid and use the food processor for more thick things like the hummus and sunflower seed butter, other dips, etc. It’s really a great product, but just don’t make anything very runny in it. ... show more

Works really well. Purchased this product specifically for the side scraping feature. Nice to not have to remove the lid every time just to scrape sides.
