I like my new Hamlton toaster very much. It’s easy to adjust how light or dark you want your toast. It has big slots for bagels or waffles. It’s easy to keep clean. It works out great for my house because we can keep one side for regular bread items and the other side can be for gluten free items, that’s one of my favorites things about having a four slice function toaster. It works well, it looks great and it toast perfectly! The only problem I have had is one side of the clean out door doesn’t stay shut the latch isn’t right and I had to use electrical tape to keep it shut.

I love my new little 4-slice toaster! It's stylish, yet practical and was very reasonably priced. I really like the fact that it's "no frills", simple to use. The outside stays cool to the touch, while the inside heats up and toasts quickly, even with bagels. I considered several other types and brands before choosing this particular one.     • Cleaning against my will
I dislike this product so much that while waiting for my toast to toast I got on a year later to spend my energy writing a review while questioning why I never returned this. When browsing I thought “hell they went to the effort of making a toaster- how bad could it really be? A toaster’s a toaster, right?” No. This has 4 slice holes but the wiring is messed up so after a few uses, I tried to use both sections simultaneously and the coils one side turned bright red. I thought I was making food efficiently when out of the corner of my eye I see this bright glowing red that made me fear Lucifer himself is going to pop out of my toaster… so I can only toast 2 pieces at a time still, but with twice the counter area occupied. (Why didn’t I return it? So I could suffer for you to receive this warning) The burning coils wouldn’t be so bad if they still toasted but trust me- I’ve tried it- they just burn the toast… you get charcoal outside and fresh bread inside and call me crazy but this ain’t toast. This is just burnt bread. With the help of my therapist I’ve turned another issue into a positive- with the second or third use a piece of plastic fell off and I thought “that’s tiny! No big deal!” (Recurring theme in my life) Well that tiny piece of plastic was supposed to hold the metal panel on the bottom shut- you know the one you never empty the crumbs out of? Now I empty the crumbs whether I like it or not so on the plus side- no chunks of crumbs are going to spontaneously combust. On the down side, if a child goes to put it away there is a trail of crumbs from counter to cupboard so. I take full accountability for the insanity of hanging onto this toaster and then going out of my way to review it a year later, but that’s not your problem. It’s mine. My point is- not all toasters are alike and spend the extra $10-$20 haha ... show more
