This is a wonderful counter-top oven with convection and rotisserie. I was especially pleased with the fit and finish and the accurate temperature setting. It has a large interior space, big enough to contain casserole dishes as well as pizzas. The rotisserie skewer is heavy duty, the included pans and trays are of solid build, and the controls have a nice crisp feel. The exterior is all stainless steel so it's easily cleaned. The outside surfaces tend to get hot. This can be a good thing as the top can be used to keep plates or serving dishes warm. Surprisingly the door handle stays nice and cool. Whenever the door is opened to reach into the hot interior I suggest using an oven mitt, or two. The feature that impressed me the most was the accuracy of the temp setting knob. During my two hour long test I used a precise mercury bulb oven thermometer Excellante Liquid Oven Thermometer, 100 to 600 Degrees Fahrenheit. After learning how to use the dial markings I found the oven temp increased to the exact set temperature and thereafter only fluctuated to 15 degrees above the setting, whenever the elements turned on again. The temp never dropped below the set temp as long as the door remained closed. It was important to use the dial position markings correctly, since turning the pointer to the etched numbers does not work. As shown in the photo the correct position is at the end of the marked line, just before the etched temp number. I tested this at all marked settings and the results were highly accurate. All tests were done with convection on. I am pleased with this oven and would recommend it to anyone needing a substitute for a range oven. The convection feature keeps the hot internal air circulating which eliminates hot spots. The quality of construction is good and the included accessories are not flimsy. ... show more

I read alot of positive reviews on Hamilton Beach's Model #31103 and when my stove oven broke last week I decided to do some research so that I could order the most appropriate countertop oven. Hamilton Beach wins it for me. First, you can't beat the price, especially since it compares favorably with the Breville Smart Oven which sells at a much heftier price. Looks are fabulous and it fits so nicely on my countertop. It appears to be of outstanding quality but light-weight enough to carry to another room. Knobs are clear and precise. It has a two-hour timer and shuts off automatically when the timer goes off. But best of all, you can bake two items at a time in this oven since it comfortably holds two racks. It comes with two baking pans, two wire racks, an insert rack for the baking pans and a rotisserre set. It does not have a toaster but that's not what I was looking for. I was looking for a good old fashioned oven/broiler/convection. I ordered this for all the above reasons PLUS I bake my own yeast bread and I read a review that one customer had marvelous results with it. The only downside I noticed is that there isn't a light inside which I would have appreciated. But for the price, that's not a big deal. I was able to get it on Amazon for $89!! And, it was delivered free within two days of ordering! The oven does get hot so I made sure there was enough clearance around the oven although the brochure never mentions that. I only just received it today and I'm having great fun playing with it. UPDATE: Still loving my Hamilton Beach Countertop Oven. It is very accurate and does a fantastic job of baking. I wouldn't be without it and if Hamilton Beach ever comes out with an even larger inside dimension oven, I'm getting it on the spot. UPDATE 11/1/12: Still loving my Hamilton Beach Convection Oven. My one callout...and I believe it could become a serious one...is that it is so easy to get a bad burn from this product. Tonight was the worst burn I ever received. The problem for me is the glass door. It is so immensely hot that my finger just quickly brushed against it tonight and I immediately got a big blister...it was THAT hot. While I would not hesitate to purchase another Hamilton Beach countertop oven, I would like to make the following suggestion...PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE put a black thin silicone edging around the entire glass door to prevent burns. It's those sneaky burns from the edge of the glass door that are so painful. Thank you. ... show more
