I needed a new blender to replace the one I have that hasn't properly worked in a long time and I trust the Hamilton Beach brand, so I figured I would give this one a try. So far, it hasn't disappointed. It blends well and does crush up ice like it claims. It's quieter than the other blenders I've had in the past, which is awesome. If you buy this product, make sure to be realistic though - crushing ice isn't quiet and probably never will be. I will say it's quieter crushing ice than my last blender, though it still makes noise. Overall this is a great, inexpensive blender that will get plenty of use.

This Hamilton Beach blender is somewhat better than our expectations, which were for an inexpensive, moderately powered blender. It doesn't compete with a high-end blender, but its better made than we were expecting. First of all, it has a heavy-duty glass jar, which we prefer to the plastic ones, and is easier to clean. It's got a tight notched fit base that attaches to the motor. The lid takes a little extra push to snug it down over the lip, but once on, it holds well. The smoothie spout at the top is good for pouring, but too small to stick a long spoon into to stir. Thats the only complaint, is that when making a thick smoothie, unless you have it on the runnier consistency, it will probably take a few stops and starts to remove the lid and stir the frozen chunks in. At the right consistency it does suck down and blend really well. It has good cutting action with the four blades. Compared to our old blender, which was a high-end blender, this is SO much quieter. While we loved the power of the old blender, it kept burning out the bearings on the blade bottoms, so we were constantly replacing them. And it was deafeningly loud. This Hamilton Beach is pleasantly quiet for a blender, and still has the power to process the food evenly. Overall we are satisfied and would recommend it.

Given its price, this blender offers impressive performance and reasonable noise levels. I've successfully crushed ice and blended protein shakes. Cleaning is a breeze. The only drawback is having to remove the top for larger ingredients like grape.

Let me say right off the top that this is a bit quieter than my 50 year old blender, which this is replacing. The blender is powerful and shreds ice like a pro. I have been making shakes since it was delivered. Works great. This blender has several buttons that run at low speed, high speed, momentary low, momentary high. I have used the momentary high speed to chop the ice in my shakes and frozen drinks. It works well. The top is convenient in that it has an opening that fits my refrigerator created ice cubes. This will be sitting out on my main counter for daily use. Only time will tell if if stands the test of time.

I received this item for free from Vine. My good blender recently broke and is discontinued so I was super happy to find this in Vine while I try to find my next blender. The pitcher is rounded which, according to ATK, is a desirable trait on a blender cuz it creates a vortex that ensures all items get blended. I’ve only used this for making sauces and smoothies (it’s not strong enough for nut butters like my previous blender) and it seems to get everything blended evenly. The worst/best feature is that the pitcher is glass - so no worries when you out in hot stuff but it also means that a part is easily broken if not careful. It’s easy to clean if you add some water and dish soap to it and run it right after using. It’s also quieter than some blenders I’ve used. And it’s actually a great value - I bought a blender for the same price in 2006 and it had a cheap plastic pitcher while this one is a thick glass.

I needed a smaller blender for my small kitchen, and this one was perfect. It’s definitely no Vitamix, but it’s strong enough that I can make a spinach and fruit smoothie without any annoying chunks or spinach leaves left. This was important to me because my son hates the feeling of drinking small leaf bits in his smoothie. It’s got a relatively small footprint, and it’s easy to clean and store away in small kitchens. Overall, this is a good and affordable blender for simple tasks like making smoothies if you don’t want to spend so much on a Vitamix.

This blender isn't a large blender, but is the perfect size for 1-3 people. The blender has no trouble crushing ice or blending fruits and vegetables, and is quiet compared to other blenders. It is very easy to clean too. The fact that it is small means that it won't take up much room either. I got my friend one of these also, and she loves it.
