  • Working fine for the last 30 days
No frills but connected easily using the app and has been working fine ever since. Seems to be the best option for dimmable recessed lights with wifi, switch compatibility and white balance. Wish that other manufacturer had wired switches….

  • Does what it says - not expensive compared to other bridges
Not much to say about this, it does exactly what it says it does. It bridges the bluetooth connection you normally use to connect to your HALO lights to your WiFi so you can integrate with other smart home hubs / services. If I had a wish, it would be that you got a new feature to follow the sun for lighting. I have Kasa lighting that changes the warmth of bulbs based on the time of day. With this thing running 24x7 that should be a smart lighting option. You can manually go in there and do this throughout the day but that would be tedious. ... show more

  • Check your Bridge if Alexa is not working
Worked great for about 2 months before my lights stopped working with Alexa. I realized the Bridge somehow became disconnected from my wifi, even though it was showing as connected. For those having issues with linking Alexa and the Halo Home Lights, check your Bridge! The Bridge needs to be on 2.4ghz WiFi, not 5.0ghz. If your bridge is not working, Alexa will not work. An easy way to know if the problem is your bridge: open the halo home app, turn off your Bluetooth. If the app doesn’t let you do anything without Bluetooth on, it is not connecting to the bridge and you don’t have internet access for your lights to connect to Alex. Delete the bridge from your phone and factory reset your bridge. Then, add your bridge to your Halo Home app again. Again, put your bridge on 2.4ghz WiFi. This should fix your issues connecting to Alexa. No need to be deleting and adding your lights all over again. ... show more

  • Sometimes decides to stop working and no customer support
The first time I set this up, it worked great. In fact, my Alexa was not only recognizing each individual light (I have 5 total) but was recognizing the groups I created in the HaloHome app. Then I had to shut off the power to replace an electrical outlet in another room, unrelated to the lights or the hub. Suddenly nothing worked. Nothing was getting recognized. I couldn't even log into my HaloHome account. So I created a new account, and that wouldn't work either. I tried every solution I could. Uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing the hub, etc. Nothing worked. I contacted Eaton, the company that makes the lights and hub by phone, no customer service - I left a message that was never returned. I tried by email, but never receieved a response still months later. Suddenly, it decided to start working again! But only this time, it ONLY recognized my groups and not my devices. So I created a single group for every light and that worked for a day or 2. Then it stopped working completely again. When it started working again, it was recognizing both the devices and the groups, but the groups were unresponsive when you tried to control them. But hey, at least it was "working." Since then, it randomly decides to stop working occasionally, then will start again for no apparent reason. I'm thinking it has to be the hub, but then again, that wouldn't explain why I can;'t log into the HaloHome app sometimes - Login Information Not Found. Oh well, not like I spent $250 on the whole set up and could have gone with the Philips system for about the same price and got much better service and more than likely a better/working product. ... show more

  • Avi-On GE bluetooth switch. THIS WORKS with this switch - 100 percent :)
Avi-On GE Bluetooth switch. THIS WORKS with this switch. - 100 percent. :) RAB = Remote Access Bridge - This device. I can't find the Avi-on RAB and when you do it is over one hundred dollars! Why? This was seventeen bucks and it works. Assuming you already have your Avi-on app setup with the original switch you need to ... 1. Plug in this Halo RAB. Open the Avi-on app and search for new devices near both devices (RAB and master switch). It will find the Halo hub as an Avi-on hub. 2. Follow the instructions to set it up. 3. It will not show the RAB under devices or favorites. IT will be under the Controllers tab. You will be good to go with the Avi-on app. Now for Alexa you will need to seasrch for Avi-On in the skills and link your Avi-on account. In Gooogle Home you will need to also link your account. Recap: This works with Avi-On based GE switch. This does work with both Alexa and Google smart speakers. - Verified. ... show more

  • Works!
It takes a bit to sync this to the wifi, took me several tries to reset it once we changed our wifi name. Overall it works great, the setting up part could be better.

  • Had troubles at first but working now
*** Updated on 1/4/2019 from 1-star to 4-stars Worked at first. Then quickly became glitchy (loss of some but not all functions). Then I completely lost the ability to control my Eaton Halo Home floodlights. All within about one month. I tried a factory reset on the Internet Bridge but it does not change anything. However, I called Eaton's technical support line and they were able to suggest some troubleshooting techniques (basically deleting the lights from the Halo Home App and then adding them back) that solved my problems. Not sure why things got messed up initially but they're working now. The Internet Access Bridge seems to connect pretty reliably to my router (an Apple Airport Extreme) and the range of its bluetooth "mesh" network is good. Functionality is good overall. I use the Internet Access Bridge to control my Eaton outdoor LED floodlights, though I understand this product works with other Eaton lights as well. You also need to install the Halo Home App. I was initially fairly unhappy but I'm pretty satisfied now thanks to the Eaton Technical Support team. ... show more

  • Junk
I have purchased three of the ‘Bridge’ and not one worked. This is junk so don’t waste your money! Calling the company was in another country and they had no idea of what they were talking about. So disgusted because I spent a fortune on an electrian to put outside lights and my hope was to control the lights through Alexa. The app is on my phone but no one can get the Bridge to connect to my alexia (Wi-Fi). ... show more
