The media could not be loaded. I have a small pond in Northern Minnesota, arguably I will have about the coldest pond winter in the US. I need something to keep my 20 inch deep 10 foot round pond & fish from freezing. I was using small water pumps, they work, but as the height of water/ice changes during the winter, the jet of water height changes and creates issues. I bought this air bubbler in hopes the air will do a better job since the water level won't affect the performance. I found limited reviews from cold climate users, so this will be my first year test. I read about keeping it out of inclement weather, I found my local hardware store has battery boxes for Rvs & boats. A battery box was perfect! This aerator fits in and only needed one hole drilled for the hose. The electrical cord fits out one of the several top cover openings meant for cables and those openings should allow for ample air supply and heat exchange (for those in hotter climates). It will keep rain out and should keep snow out as well since I keep it under my covered patio that only gets small amounts of blowing snow. I can't yet attest to the durability or if it will work in the 20 below zero Minnesota winter, but I'll update this if it fails to work. Edit: This was a big success and made it thru winter without any issues. It ran solid even in the 20 below temps. The aeration didn't change in the fluctuating temps. The bubbler disks didn't freeze up and the air kept the pond open the majority of the time. When it was really cold in January, occasionally the entire pond would ice over, but the ice dome above the bubbles was thin and easy to chip open, this was only an occasional need. I am very happy with the performance of this set up!

This is the second one of these pumps I’ve purchased. The first one lasted 4 years of continuous running. I figured 4 years was a good lifespan for a pump to run 24/7 before breaking down, so I just purchased another one. Puts out good air and is not very noisy, but you can hear it running if you’re within about 10-15’ away.

Works beautifully. Put it in my irrigation pond that we just lined and configured as a "dog pool" for the summer, and this gadget works exactly as advertised. Had it in continuous operation now for a month, without a hitch. It's got some volume, but it's reasonable, and since it's outside in my pump house by the pond, the noise is no big deal. If you've got it running under your kitchen window though, I can see how that wouldn't work out too well. All in all, very satisfied.

Great aeration for my 1700 gallon pond used all winter while I had to have my filters off due to issues, and I can turn it on during pond maintenance, keeps the koi happy

This product started out great. I loved the diffuser and the weighted line was plenty for my huge pond. With a depth of over 4 feet the fine bubbles were plentiful when they reached the top. Ice was never able to form over the winter months. It's him is loud but not intolerable. After less than a year the prongs on the plus began to wiggle, and I don't unplug it except during water changes. Then it still pushed air but not enough to get through the tube. Now it is useless. I would buy another one and see if it was defective but I am a low income person and can't afford to.

I have double joined ponds. The main one is about 8' long, 5' wide, 4' deep. This thing produces so many bubbles that my pond is more like a wave pool now. It's definitely doing its job, but the waves prevent viewing the fish in at least half of the pond. I placed the diffuser stone at the far end of the pond near the waterfall. When my lily pads grow back next spring I'm sure they will help. The sound is not bad. A slight hum, but the tiny waterfall is louder & droids out the hum. The pump is fairly large & heavy. I plan on buying a fake rock to cover it with. This may also help in absorbing sound, who knows. I used tent stakes to hold the hose down in my landscaping along the rock line. Great pump so far. Let's see how it does over winter.

I have only had for a month, but so far so good. I have a large above ground Koi pond. with 40 fish in it, in Florida. They love the extra oxygen. The only draw back is the motor is loud, and it has to be kept out of the weather.
