My wife's report: I have used a big name brand flat iron for at least 20 years, on my second one of the brand during that time. I love it, but thought I would use this one as a backup. My usual flat iron does a great job straightening my hair, which is the reason I’ve used the brand so many years. However, I’ve never been able to get the beach waves I would like with it. This Mnsyflns flat iron gives me the beach waves I want. So, it will get regular use when I want beach waves, but will use my old faithful for straightening. The manufacturer states there is no snagging or tugging of the hair. For me this isn’t so. It does occasionally snag my hair. Doesn’t feel great! If I keep my hair towards the front of the plates it doesn’t snag. This flat iron has a lock on it to keep it locked in the closed position and comes with a storage bag, which is good for storage and travel. It comes with some nice little extras in addition to the storage bag, a comb, 2 hair clips and a heat protection glove. Four Stars. ... show more

I'm so thankful for the instructions! There's no indication on the wand of on/off and temperature increase/decrease, so you need to refer to the instructions about what buttons are what. The "buttons" all look like indicator lights but they are, in fact, buttons. But once you use it once, it will be easy peasy. You'll also need the instructions to determine how hot to make the iron as well. I have fine hair and when I use conditioner, very soft hair as well. This straightens well. I only used it to straighten, not curl (my hair doesn't hold a curl well or for long anyway). The price is great - well worth it! I recommend!! ... show more
