What impressed me the most is how quickly it works—my hair goes from damp and frizzy to smooth and styled in just minutes. The drying power is fantastic without being too harsh, and the straightening function leaves my hair silky, shiny, and perfectly straight. I am long overdue for a trim though! I also love the adjustable heat settings, which make it suitable for all hair types. This Hair Straightener works well for quickly drying and straightening damp hair at the same time. It cuts down on time and steps. The design is sleek and the straightener is easy and comfortable to hold. It does get heavy after a while. The device does look high-end though. It takes some getting used to when using this. The air flows out one side of the straightener so you need to ensure to hold it so the air is blowing down the hair shaft when using. You can vary the temperature for the air and the speed of the air flow. It does start cooler and heats up during repeated use so I found myself adjusting the temperature down a bit after using for time period. I have naturally straight hair (type 1b) so I can't really assess how good this is for straightening wavy or curly hair. I do typically use a flat iron on my hair to make it look sleeker as my hair will get a couple bends in it otherwise. My one negative with this device is because the airflow is on the side of the straightener and the plates are pretty wide, I cannot dry 2-3" of my hair roots. I can flip this around so the airflow is directed at my roots, but I don't like doing that as it tends to frizz that area of my hair. A solution would be to dry my roots separately but that defeats the purpose of having an all-in-one dryer and straightener. Also, for the price I wouldn't purchase this again. ... show more

My hair is long, thick, and coarse. My old flat iron worked just fine but is a couple of years old, so I wanted an upgrade. This iron came very well packaged, has a velvet-type bag to store it in, and clear instructions. I was worried because the highest temperature is 320 degrees, and I was using 455 degrees on my old iron. To my surprise, the 320 worked just as well as the 455! I have a lot of breakage in my hair, so using lower heat for the same results is exactly what I need. I like how the iron heats up to max temperature immediately and also has a cooling feature to lock in the smoothness. Because it has the air flow feature that dries damp hair at the same time as flattening it, the iron is a little bit bigger and heavier than a regular flat iron that doesn't have those features. I probably wouldn't travel with this one, but it will definitely be my go-to at home. ... show more

She had me mail my defective device to the warehouse via UPS and paid me back for the cost to ship it. For reference, I’m a 55 yo Caucasian with long hair (mid-back), very fine and wavy (between 2a/2b). I’m a wash-and-wear kind of gal - I love my waves but am on an eternal search for something to combat frizz. I ordered this with high hopes that I might somehow get the best of both worlds - straighten to de-frizz and then add back some waviness. The unit is GORGEOUS - so luxurious and feels well balanced and of high quality. I really like the digital display that lets you know exactly what temperature you’re dealing with. The buttons are easily accessible while also placed so you don’t accidentally turn it off or change the heat. The cord is long enough and I didn’t notice any tangling while using this tool. Although it did everything it’s supposed to do it took a lot longer than I expected and I was unable to eke out any curls. I like the convenience of drying and styling in one step but I really love my beach waves - straight hair just isn’t my style. I think I’ll just have to rely on a little product to tame the frizzies and use my trusty old curling iron when I need a smoother result. After drying my hair with this tool, I could see how it would be better for my hair than the standard hair dryer I already use. It made my hair a little smoother, but not enough to make the time investment worth it. Unfortunately it took forever to fully dry my hair. I have thin, fine hair- I can't imagine how long it would take to dry thick hair! I just don't have that much time to do my hair every day; I've gone back to my regular hair dryer now. ... show more
