I did a side by side comparison on one side of my body for months on the recommended schedule & let the other side of my body do it’s thing & didn’t touch the hair on that side. I see no difference. Yes, this thing will zap you & make burning smells if you catch an area with a little more pigment or hair exposed... but I do not see a change in hair growth what so ever. If someone wants to contact me for evidence or let me know if I could have done it wrong, I am happy to chat. But I did not see any benefits from this product.

I ordered this mid-Nov. and its now mid-Feb. This device does work, but you have to be good about continually using it or the hair will return. I also noticed I have to use the highest setting or it won't work which does worry me about what its doing to my skin. The device will get HOT so I have to use it in increments and then let it cool down. Flashes of light are bright- be careful. I will be interested to see what the long term uses will do. Overall, I'm glad to see it does affect my hair growth, but I have set phone reminders every 2 weeks to be strict about remembering to use it- if not using it more than that.

I have the perfect complexion for this product: light skin, dark hair. I did the 8 week program perfectly on the highest setting. I'd say I have about 30% less hair now and it looks kinda splotchy. It worked but not as well as I had hoped, also I takes like an hour per treatment, it's very time consuming.

The media could not be loaded. I have received this hair removal for several weeks and I have used it about three or four times. Before I bought this machine, I had laser hair removal at the local beauty salon, but that is too expensive. This is the first time that I’ve had my hair removed by myself. The instructions weren’t easy and you have to follow the guidance. Here are the steps that I took: Warning: Follow the instructions to check the skin pigment before proceeding 1. Shave and clean the hair area by merely using the razor 2. Plug in the machine 3. Press and hold the power button for about one second to select the gear you want 4. Align the machine to the desired hair removal area. (Note to be perpendicular to the skin) 5. When moving the machine along the desired hair removal area, press the flash button (the white square button). You can also use automatic mode, which will be quicker. I chose Level 5, which is not as painful as I experienced in the salon. I will continue to use this instrument.

If you're interested in trying IPL, definitely do your research and make sure you are a good candidate for it. (You need some contrast between your skin and hair color.) This product is a good price point and does all that you can ever ask of any IPL device, although I haven't yet figured out how to do the automatic setting. My hair growth has thinned and slowed over months of consistent IPL therapy, but by no means did it mean that I got to forego shaving/waxing/sugaring/something if I wanted truly smooth legs. Sad, but I don't think it is the product's fault. The results from the IPL have made me more willing in daily life to throw on a skirt or shorts even if I haven't shaved in awhile. It won't be quite as blatantly obvious that (gasp) I'm a mammal.

I ordered this product knowing it might not work. Well, it doesn't. After reading the instruction manual I powered the device on, changed the intensity level, and powered it off (familiarizing myself with the device). I turned it on again to use it and the intensity is stuck on level one. I've powered it off and on, plugged and unplugged, several times with no luck. Headed out to return it now. If I order a second and have a different experience, I'll update my review here.
