This is an amazing hair dryer. I have always been reluctant to buy one of these plasma dryers, because I have naturally curly hair and have always had to dry my hair at very low speed in order to get the curls to “pop”. I didn’t think a high powered dryer like this would keep my curls intact, but I was totally wrong! The dryer has 2 speeds. The flow of air is extremely powerful even on the low setting. With a simple button push you can cycle through 4 temperatures – a cold blast of 32, and then 120, 150 and 180. I set the dryer to 120 and scrunch my hair while drying. It is amazing that the curls pop right up and it dries in a fraction of time that it previously took me to dry my hair! After my hair is dry and styled I use a blast of the cold to set it in place and it locks it in for all day! I was not expecting my thick, coarse hair to feel so much softer after using this dryer, but it does! The dryer does come with an attachments to even further concentrate the blast. I don’t like my hair straightened, but I used that attachment with the highest temperature setting and speed and indeed, my naturally curly hair became sleek and straight. I did use a straightening balm, but did not need to use a straightener device. So, this dryer clearly works on all hair types. The dryer itself is small, lightweight and attractive. Despite to power that it has, it is very quiet. Each temperature setting shows in big cold numbers but also there is a bright ring of color that corresponds to the color in case you wear glasses or contacts and have trouble seeing the numbers. The bottom has an easy pull out section that houses a filter. It is easy to clean unlike traditional dryers where you typically have to try to scrub out the wire intake on the head. The only complaint I have at all about this dryer is that it does not have a ring attached to allow you to hang it up on the wall. For those of us with limited space, that is a huge drawback. A simple rubber ring attached to the dryer would make it simple to hang up. Despite that negative, this is overall a fantastic dryer that will save you time every morning when you are getting ready for your day!

We got this to replace an old hair dryer that we've been using for about a decade. That one is a traditional long-nose shaped hair dryer that pulls the air in from the back. It's worked well enough but is very loud and gets pretty hot on the outside after only a few minutes. This one has none of those issues. The air intake in on the bottom of the handle and while it doesn't seem like it's pulling a lot of air, it definitely is because the air blowing out of it is plenty powerful. Honestly, I'm surprised by how well this blows. It comes with two power setting and four temperature setting--all of which works exactly as advertised. (Fair warning, the 180-degree setting is quite hot.) It's also much more compact due to its short snout and a lot quieter than our old one. It's also lighter and stays cool to the touch even after extensive use. The attachment to focus the air snaps on magnetically, which makes taking on and off a breeze. Great decision to go with this.

I really wanted to like this blow dryer, but the results of using it weren't great. I will have to experiment with it a bit more, but the small nozzle made the air flow a bit too concentrated in one area for me. The three heat temperatures had a cool feature of having a different color display for each. I feel like Goldilocks, as none of the heats felt right for me. I guess I am suffering from the differences between the Hot Tools blow dryer that I've had for years and this blow dryer that seems very different in every way. Since it's fairly lightweight and small, I will probably use it as a travel blow dryer, but don't think I love it enough to use it every day.

This is so much quieter than standard/older hair dryers! It's quick to dry and the magnetic functions of the filter area at the bottom and the straight line nozzle piece both work great. The buttons are intuitive - low and high speed, and no-heat, warm, hot, and very hot with color indicators. I don't tolerate heat very well, but even the regular hot (red) setting was fine. The very hot setting is one I'll avoid since it feels more like I'm singeing the hair, but that's typical of other hair dryers too. It's nice to have both a warm AND hot setting before getting to very hot. It's quirky that the display shows 32°F for the no heat setting, but oh well! The cord is thick (like a round, outdoor extension cord or a vacuum cord) and I didn't notice anything heating up that shouldn't be. I don't know if/how the ionic function works, but my hair IS less frizzy when using this than via other drying methods. The combination of the lower sound volume, comfortable temperatures, and reduced frizz make this a big upgrade from old style dryers.

This is a fantastic blow dryer. It can be used for much more than just your hair too. And it looks and feels like so much more than an ordinary hair dryer. It comes in a nice custom box with a manual and an extra piece you can put at the end of the nozzle that blows the air. I see that piece on hair dryers in more professional places such as when your hair is blown dry in salons. It sticks on with a strong magnet, so it is super easy to take on and off. It has a heavy-duty cord on it. The whole thing is good quality and strong. What I loved about it especially was the different temperatures of air. It also has a button that blows regular air and also stronger air. It can blow cold air. And then warm air up to 180 with two others in between. I already threw out my old blow dryers as soon as I saw what this can do. I am still excited about it. I no longer have the patience to dry my air with regular hair dryers. This one is impressive.
