Just like it’s hard to find a good hair stylist, it’s hard to find good hair scissors. Both searches involve trial and error (and in my case, some tears from bad haircuts). I trim my bangs between regular haircuts and have tried plenty of hair scissors. I really thought they’re pretty much all alike. I was so wrong. I’ve never had a pair as nice as these. They’re a nice weight in my hand. The blades are super, super sharp and the cutting motion is quick and smooth. I just can’t believe the difference. There’s no resistance when opening or closing them so (I think) that’s what makes them so quick. It’s just snip, snip, snip in a flash. If these scissors ever get dull, I think our sharpening guy will be able to sharpen them so they should last a very long time.

My father-in-law is a hairdresser and used to cut my hair (back when I had hair), so I've spent a lot of time in close proximity to his fancy scissors. I ordered these to keep on hand at our house in case he forgets his own scissors and wants to cut my son's or my wife's hair during a visit. My wife was concerned that I had wasted my time since her dad is so particular about his "tools", but I was blown away with how perfect these scissors look, feel, and cut. I see absolutely no difference between these scissors and the ones he uses, which I assume cost far more than these. They are incredibly comfortable and come with a very durable case. These are a good, affordable investment if you cut your hair at home or even if you just want to have "real" hair cutting scissors available in the event that you need them.

These are amazing daily use sheers. The removable tang is something I didn't know I needed until now. They are extremely sharp and have stayed that way after minimum 4 or 5 cuts a work day for the last 3 weeks. The pricepoint is a steal for the quality.

I received these and they look really nice. The carrying case is a nice touch as well. What o noticed right off was the blades don't feel like they are touching when you open and close them. There is no sound or resistance when working the blades. The holes for your fingers are incredibly small so if you are a guy with average size fingers, these will be hard for you to use comfortably. I used them to trim hair today and these scissors are incredibly sharp and sturdy. Highly recommend and am only giving it 4 stars because of the finger holes being smallish.

I've been trimming my hair with standard office scissors ever since the beginning of the pandemic, but they never worked quite as well as I would want. They were hard to get into the right place because they were so big, and hair slid on the blade and was hard to cut. I didn't realize what a different real barber scissors would make. These scissors work great. They cut the hair smoothly in place with no sliding. They're small enough to get into all the little corners. And they're comfortable in the hand. The "chemical smell" reported by someone else is lubricating oil. The smell is definitely there, but I think of it as a good thing.

These scissors feel like they’re good-quality. The metal has a nice balance to it — they feel strong, but not too heavy. They’re very sharp — I tested cutting both hair and paper, and they sliced through both easily. So — they should work well as hair cutting scissors as intended, but could also be used as regular office, craft, garden, or kitchen scissors if needed. As some other reviewers have noted, the finger holes are a bit on the small side — I’d prefer slightly wider finger openings. But for doing a quick cut, these scissors seem very handy.
