I am in my late 40's . Starting to see grays in temple region and a few tufts in the front of the head that started to bother me a bit. Didn't like home dyes due to strong ammonia smell, drying effect on hair and messiness. This hair color is perfect. No smell. So easy to apply without any drips or mess. I use plastic gloves and apply oil on forehead so very easy clean up for any stains that might get on the skin. Has conditioner pump along with color so it conditions while the coloring. Actually leaving the colored hair feeling softer and shinier than uncolored hair. I have been using it for over a year. And love it.

After using this once, I'm happy enough to continue using it, at least until the bottle is done. Some points: - This is billed as a shampoo, but it's really a semi/demi-permenant hair color. Basically, the color is in half the bottle and the activator is in the other half. They both come out when you pump and you mix them together in your hand. It's an easier method of delivery conpared to the standard box kits, plus you can control the exact quantity you need, so there's no waste. - The instructions say to lather like shampoo, but it doesn't really lather. It would have been easier to get an even application by pumping it into a bowl and applying with a brush. - I have some very color-resistent greys along my forehead; even getting them died at a salon only lasts about a week or so before they start fading. I wasn't surprised that I didn't get 100% grey coverage. But I did get about 90%, which I'm happy with. - The color did not show up on my hair, but that is likely because I have previously dyed my hair with henna. Henna can be very difficult to dye over. I bought the purple color and my hair definitely did not turn purple, but the dye did make the existing reds and browns richer. My new grey hairs are a kind of red-brown. I'll be interested to see if the purple shows up with more applications and as the henna fades.

This was my first time trying a shampoo for my gray hair and I am totally in love with this. I can clean my shower while I wait for the dye to completely cover my gray hair. :-) I was hesitant it would work but it was perfect. I would recommend this product.

I already love this product. It’s not a shampoo but it doesn’t matter, it works! I love it because it works faster then going to the salon and less expensive. I put it in a container and little by little on my hair, and with the fingers all around, no mess. After I used the conditioner my hair is really smooth and easy to comb. This is my favorite “shampoo “ for now and on.

I was under the impression that this would be more like a shampoo and not like a hair dye. You have to put it on your head and wait 20 minutes before you get into the shower or rinse it out. I was looking for something that was not time-consuming.

First I broke off the plastic piece holding the product in. Apparently you pull it straight out toward you. Oh well, didn't mess anything up. It goes on pretty easy once you start to soap it up on your head. Even though it comes with gloves I got it on my arms and face and ears... some of it came right off. Next day was my birthday and I wasn't embarrassed by any of the stains. They were very light if at all by then. It rinses out pretty easily and doesn't stain bedding after either. I will say for dark brown it did seem pretty dark (almost black) but luckily not noticeable to anyone but me. It did cover all my grays (at least the ones I was able to get color on.) There were a few baby hairs around my face that I didn't want to risk coloring my face for so maybe using a little brush or something to get those? I would definitely recommend the hair color stain remover stuff be on hand, that stuff is a life saver. Only real con I can think of is it smells like ... a toilet. ... my bathroom smelled until the next day. Other thing was that the directions are to put the stuff in your hand and mix it in your glove. That was a mess. I would consider squirting it into a color bowl and scooping it from there. But for the price and the fact that I will be able to use it again I think it's pretty great deal. And it did color my grays and make me feel young and fresh for my birthday. ♡
